Trying to plan out a swap that is head turning but logical. I am aware that there are SRT 4 possibilities but really how exhausted is this already. Anyone know what else will fit, without major modifications to the engine bay ie. Cutting back fire wallAny ideas?
I am finishing up my engine/tranny drop and noticing the gears are a little awkward. At first I couldn't get shifter over to put into 1st or 2nd. Now that I can 3rd feels like it it didn't quite go in and forth feels as though out goes into gear then further.Any ideas on what it can be
Ok now, that I'm only running alt on pulley its there a snapper lighter single pulley I can mount instead of spending a ton on under drive which would slow what I dont have lol. Not worth money to me. But if its the only way to free up some more power I'll but the JET one
Thanks, want new ones I'll try PSI, just rather avoid second hand pieces especially ones that are constantly used... Just never know how they were treated prior to you installing them.
Once I turn car on within 10 seconds the header is as hot our hotter than me running it hours straight. I feel that if I run it for 10 minutes it will start glowing. There is a slight leak where header connects to down pipe. My buddy said that leak its the reason for the header getting extremely HOT
Just got engine to turn on. I don't think its running lean. My buddy said that because the down pipe is not fully seed on header and there is a slight leak. Could that be causing excessive heat.
Running line to stand alone reservoir to allow air to escape and also keep the gears lubed.Heard when you loop there is still air that can build up. Would love to do a manual rack swap just eliminate any future issues
Doing it show and removing the clutter from under the hood. Looking for a super clean empty bay. I'm 22 and can still deal with no power steering. Also car its gutted as well although you agree correct it will not see a 9 second bracket it is the unique concept of it.
I have deleted the following:
POWER STEERING
A/C
EGR
EVAPMy question now is can I eliminate those wires and and connectors from harness or will it cause issues if they are removed?I have 90% of conduit off from tracing wires so before I cover them again id like to do what I can now!
The connector that connects the intake manifold wire conduit to the block wire conduit was disconnected. There was no power going to crank sensor as well as no signal going to ECU due to this connector being disconnected. Found it while tracing wires back from crank sensor checking for frey our...
Still no signal to the coil pack. Did light test to see if it pulsed when the ignition turned on. No flashing.replaced both cam and cas on it. Still no signal or spark. What should I check next??
I checked the splice on the crank sensor one was loose. re-spliced connections still no spark. Is it the ECU? Are there any distinct markings, smells, discoloration....Replaced crank and cam sensors with used ones I picked up from junk yard.Continuity check on wires going to and from coil...
When installing the crank sensor I had to convert pig tail from 95 style to 97. Can someone tell me what color wires go to what. I think they may be connected incorrectly
Don't think so because coil pack one doesnt have the regular conduit, it has that rubber sleeve to prevent melting from the heat.Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
ECU getting 12.8 volts. Power out wire to CAS is only getting 9v. Haynes says its supposed to get 12v. New ECU??
Will ECU from 97 with power everything work in 95 with manual windows. Both manual trans and 420aSent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
No spark, maybe fuel. I'm thinking when I spliced the harness for new style crank sensor the connection messed up or the wires are to the wrong colors since they are two different color schemes. Sensor could be bad to.Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
Power and ground wires getting really hot and negative terminal sparked while attached.Finished dripping engine everything is hooked up. There are alot of deletes done but I don't know why car won't start.Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk
I was told, and maybe I heard wrong, that you can hook.a, specific resistor into your MAP sensor that helps gain power. I guess it signals for more fuel causing you to run a little richer. Can someone clarify this for me. if it does work.would love to do it.Sent from my HTC Glacier using...
