sorry about not getting back to you in time. Been a hell of a week.Shocks sold. List updated kthxMake offers on the rest of this crap guys i want it out of my garage
depends on how good the car is mechanically.i paid 3200 for mine a year ago, interior was mint and car was almost bone stock. ( amazing right? ) it also only had 68k miles.personally 2200 is about right if not a little high depending on what is on the car.
did your surge issues start before or after going to SD?if after there are a few things to check.also from the first vid i can see that your car is running so rich that its above the 22:1 ratio.ensure that your injector settings match your injectors/fuel
just find a stock block in decent condition and redo all gaskets/belts/tensioners and go from there. as long as your head is good you can re use it and continue on with life.
more info required, kinda.oversized injectors will cause this as well.
Bad maf will cause this ( although other things would be wrong before then ).
dying caps will cause this.
bad grounds can cause this.
bad spark plug wires can cause this.
bad spark pulgs or once with too large of a gap....
4g63 is still rebuildable after a fire actually ( been there done that lol )Personally if the shortblock is all the needs work you'll end up better off just finding some one doing a partout and buy the short block and inspect the head. grab a 20g and keep the boost low ( 20g is bigger and...
kinda pointless to upgrade the valves. my car had 1mm oversize valves and it was not worth the trouble. unless you are searching for numbers above 500 don't waste your money or time. keep stocksame head had the BC springs retainers and such. after 40k miles. they still work and revved...
Don't still have the car..Much of the interior is gone as well..The head shouldn't need resurfacing the motor was never overheated..In fact the motor was the only thing that worked well on this car.Gimme a ring!Ecu has been put on ebayPrices Lowered
Easiest way is use a cherry picker.start with transmisssion area where the xfer case bolts up at an angle.bring the transmission up and tilted back a little ( bell housing facing the oil pan a bit ) with the upper portion of the bell housing right at the outer part of the clutch.I...
the best penetrating oil available is not on a shelf.use 1/2 ATF and 1/2 laquer thinner, mix and paint onto the area( spray if possible ). this has removed so many bolts that pb blaster and any other penetrating oil hasn't that i just stopped buying the off the shelf stuff.
never regretted this on my 91, wanted to do it on both my 92's. i had solid mounts all the way around ( welded steel mounts, no poly )steering wheel shook but i'm used to the car shaking and bucking so this wasn't any thing new.you'll regret it if you want honda style silence and such...
sounds like my dsm used to do, replace alt again. or just do the single wire version( self exciting ) saturn alt upgrade. ( i did this and never regreted it after the work was done )
with the 550's the car is going to run very badly. you adding 20% more fuel than the car had stock at all ranges of operation without a tune... find some stock injectors to toss in there until you can make adjustments for them.
rear end is gone... has been for a long while... it was actually one of the first items to go.all that is left is up in the list at the top.Updated ListECU for sale for 550 now
List updated
Added a pic of some of the parts.rofl I'm actually unsure why there is the word tool in there Kris.Drooseph, i still have the walbro but the rest is already sold.if you guys know of any one that needs some of this stuff tell them to him me up guys. i gotta get it gone. I have...
Interior door pieces, front and rear seats, 50 bucks for all of it.seats have no tears or rips, rear seats have slight sun fade on the top .These pieces will last for 24 hours and then they are getting dumped.
what would you even take out of all of this? at most you could use the boost controller i think...OH WAIT! I know... you want... no.. that wont work either... OOOH OOH!! you need ... nope.. nope... hmmm OH YOU CAN USE THE BOOST GAUGE!!!
ya it was a random flyby sale tool guy came to pick up a 20 dollar part and walked out with the turbo as well. sorry fella. gotta get this timing belt stuff done =)
highly doubtful, you did say the motor is mounted in a frame correct? In order for the motor to start the " bare essentials " is to make sure all the sensors are connected to some degree.Maf, water temp, Cas, throttle position sensor, O2 sensor ( not required but will keep it idling...
from what it sounds like the prev owner decided to put a catback exhaust on the car but left the stock down pipe.the real options are if this is the case:A: Buy new downpipe
B: take it to a muffler shop and have one made to replace the pipe.if you re use that pipe you will just end up...
Looking good Corey. Still dunno how the hell you keep that car so damn clean. Just defy's my own logic...Btw driving 200 + miles in one shot in an evo with no cruise control sucks.that being said, i'm ordering a cruise control unit tomorrow, K thx.
nah. more or less pending though. it is in pieces already though. and if no one comes to pick up the body once all the decent pieces are out of it i'm taking a sawzall to the body and sending it to the scrappers.
Jacks transmission, rear, hood all SOLDshort block SOLDStock transmission SOLD.20g turbo SOLDinjectors , wheels, and clutch are SOLD rest is still pending, but honestly.
Bought an evo so the dsm is going away. I can't keep it as a toy because my apartment complex doesn't allow you to have more than 2 cars and I don't want to add storage fee's to my new car payment and increased insurance rates =).Parts start coming off the car Monday. at that point there will...
well i picked up an evo,05, bone stock, 68k miles, unsure if there has been a timing belt job done so i'll be doing that soon. but aside from that... the car is getting the speakers from my dsm installed and i'm finished with it ( for at least 6 months )
