How ever you broke the bolt loose do the same thing. wedge something in the pulley so it can't turn.105 ft/lbs.. ish. Good luck. I never got that far on my car but thats how I got the bolt loose. Try not to damage anything.
Check out this link..2GNT.com - Fiberglass_Subwoofer_EnclosureI've wanted to do this for years, just to lazy. This should give you an idea of the work involved if your really interested.
Jack up the car and check for play in the wheels. That will help narrow down your problem. Then hop underneath and start wiggling things till you find what's loose or worn. Better luck on finding a 'real' mechanic
have you looked at your rims? sounds like a bolt on your calipers came loose causing the calipers to move when you first break. they would move one way in reverse.. the other in first. If that happened your calipers could be hitting your rim causing the sound your hearing. you'd be able to...
Adjustable Cable Tie Guntry a zip tie gun similar to this. it will get the zip tie super tight more than you can get by hand plus a little RTV. if that doesn't work try some PL construction adhesive that stuff sticks anything to anything but good luck getting it off
with the amount of time and money he would have had to put in to get those numbers I'd say no it's not legit at 1000 bucks. But that being said.. definitely go take a look. Got a link?
Yes awd specific. The exhaust routes differently because of the driveshaft and the gas tank is differenthttp://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/398530-awd-fwd-exhaust-differences.html
I would suggest getting a wideband so you can see what your air fuels are at wot. I would bet you are lean do to a fuel problemyour profile says 91 talon
OP - This is spot on. see the torque increase with intake and header. horsepower is just a number torque is what you feel. most importantly do what YOU want.
Buy a cheap ebay intake.. its just a pipe. I wouldn't waste the money going AEM. Then spend the rest on a quality header. cheap ones can crack and are welded like crap. You'll get a little more top end power.
2GNT.com - Removal_of_Passenger_Side_Motor_Mount_Plate_OnlyThis is a good step by step for ya.I had to take off the front and rear motor mounts and jack the engine way way up to get that thing off.
Sorry to say but I can guarantee at least some of your valves are toast
A small leak after an hour of driving will cause you to lose a lot of coolant which gets replaced by air. While driving your fine because the air from moving keep the engine cool. Then you stop in a parking lot and the temperature sores find that leak and hopefully problem solved. Good luck buddy
Disconnect the fuel pump relay. Its under the rear seats. Then turn the car on until it dies. That will relieve the fuel system pressure. Then it's pretty much like what phoenix said Make sure you use 2 wrenches. You will spill some gas so be ready for it
Can't believe nobody commented on this. You're not even up on your maintenance and if you want to throw on huge cams . Google 2GNT upgrade paths and follow that.
When I bought mine it leaked on the driver compartment side and took me forever to figure it out because I assumed it was good since it was new. I won't make that mistake again
Ignore this I thought you wanted to know where the Cruisecontrol mounted. The box your talking about mounts right under the intake manifold stays. I'm actually pretty sure it's 14 mil but I could be wrong. Like said above its one bolt on top 2 on bottom
PB blaster. Ill never use anything else. Spray it on the bolts, wait a while and try again. It literally turns the rust into water. There's a good article somewhere on here about breaking in your brakes
you can wrap your header in heat wrap or get a heat shield. The wrap would be easier. I wrap my stock manifold in the titanium wrap and its really good. I know you can use the cat back from a GST and that should give you a good sound but since there is no cat I don't know how it would fit on.
How new is the coolant. First things first with any overheating issue I would flush the system and refill with new fluid. Also is your radiator all gunked up on the front. Spray it down with a hose to clean it off so it can get the most air flow.Your post is kind of vague can you please...
I only saw one or two when I looked, I'm more concerned with getting things sterilized cause I know mice are dirty little animals. I'm not worried about killing it if it is alive I'm going to get that little POS
thanks for the replies guys. all good ideas. Man i wish I would have put some moth balls or something in it. Ill let you know what i find when i really investigate later. (its like 5 degrees right now and no heat in the garage yet)
hey guys,So my car has been at my buddies house for a few months while I have been waiting to get a garage at my apt so I can rebuilt the head (timing belt snapped). I finally got a garage and we get the car over there and I see a bunch of mouse droppings in the trunk area and back seat...
