When puttin in a new turbo for example "16g" make sure your oil return line is tight with no leaking. Dont forget to tighten all oil drain valves/screws. RTV Gasket maker is your best frind!!!!!!! also dont use hose clamps on you intercooler piping. There is a reason they are cheap and bend when...

make sure you MAF sensor is plugged in. check vacuume line make sure there is no hole. Run a boost leak test. and you should sreiously think about buying a aftermarket boost guage. i recomend prosport electric boost guage.

I have a short rout fmic and i have the stock 1g bov. ive been looking all over the internet but i cant find what i am looking for. I need a adapter of some sort so i can put on my 2g hks bov on the 1g flange. 2g bov to 1g hookup.maybe iam asking a dumb question and i need to open my eyes...

i did kind of the same thing. i had to actually cut off plugs from the other wiring harness and soder them on to the new one to make it work. i used a 95 harness on a 98 engine

so this may be a dumb question... but i remember that i could buy the short route intercooler on ebay for $250 shipped all day long around a year ago. Now the cheapest i can find it shipped is $329... did the price go up on us? its the same short route kit that ss autochrome and vrsf sells...

I had just recently pulled my engine out of my 98 GSX and put it in my 95 GSX. For some reason my car is idling really bad and sometimes wont even stay on. I think it is just because i am boost leaking but iam not sure. Please reply with any ideas on how to fix this.:banghead:

16g jpipe set up off of ebay and front mount intercooler with a short rout pipe also off of ebay. It looks alot cleaner.

Honestly, no idea all we did was pulled the engine relay and put it back in and it started right up. Also we played with the spark plug wires alot. haha

We got it running and did not use the 1g sensor, that actually made it worse. Now it is time to take her to the streets!!:D

i just bought a 1g cam sensor so if this works i will head back on here and let y'all know whats up so for all of you who are having the same problem you will know how to fix it.and i already have the 6 bolt cas adapter

We checked that a few times actually. We think it might be the alarm and turbo timer that was istalled by the guy who had the car before us, Lets just say it doesnt look to good under my dash. He used but connecters and tapping connectores. It looks like crap.:notgood:

but mine is a 7 bolt....could i just take the old connecter off the other harness and hook it up?and i actually have that. it was on the car when i baught it. but the cam sensor does not fit the 98 engine.

i just recently put in my 98 gsx engine into my 95 body but the cam sensor is deffirent. what can i go to fix it? can i cut the old plug in off the 98 and soder it on the wires in my 95? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! and pleae no "i think" i need definate answers.:banghead:

I have a 98 gsx 2g shell I'm selling for $350 if you would rather use that. Since a 4g63 came out of it than you should not have to try and make different motor mounts. Your trying to put a 4g63 into a gs which is a 420a i believe which is a way smaller engine you might run into some issues. If...
