http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/390724-ngr-performance-bov.htmlIt looks like plenty of people have had the same idea, but a few have actually bought the new diaphragm and all say it doesn't fit.
I ran into a local DSMer that has a small 16g on his 2g. He got a set of lines from CXRacing and said they lined up almost perfectly. For future reference, this may be the way to go. I just ordered a set myself.

I have the install kit from Extreme PSI with the oil lines and so forth. It just didn't include the coolant lines. So, ordering the 16g coolant lines is better than the t25 lines, correct?
The coolant lines on my old t25 are shot and I'm currently installing an Evo3 16g. What is the best combination of lines to buy? I'm getting new ones, so I'd like what ever fits best. 14b or t25 feed and return? I can mix and match too.
I ordered the Punishment/CX Racing one. The ebay one was just a little bit too questionable for my tastes. I mean, $120 for a two row aluminum radiator AND two slim fans?
I did some searching on the forums and haven't found a definitive answer yet.The Punishment Racing radiator with fans is $259, but they are about $100 cheaper on ebay. Does anyone have experience with the ebay radiators? How is the quality, fitment, cooling, etc.?For reference, this is...
I have a Sony Clie S360 PDA That I was going to use as a datalogger for my 2G using the pocketLogger setup from Digital Tuning, but I see it is discontinued. Does anyone know of any other cable/software combinations that will work on the Palm OS?This will be used on a '97 TSi AWD*edit*

Just grab the nut on the center of the impeller on the intake side of the turbo and try to wiggle it back and forth. Then try to wiggle it in and out. If you can feel any movement, its either bad or on its way out. The tolerances are tight enough while in spec that you won't be able to feel...
They're all on my list, but limited funds are making me wait on those. My turbo exploded, So thats why I need to replace that now. It just about 6 months earlier than I intended and I haven't saved up for everything yet.I have it along with the megan downpipe and it fits the stock t25...
Yes, I spent the little extra to get it ported. I plan on running it on low boost for now and wanted to avoid creep as much as possible (I have a 3 inch exhaust and no cat). I cant afford the pump, injectors, and management yet to turn up the boost. What would be a safe boost level for now...
I've got the megan already. Its just a standard evo3 16g ordered from forced performance, so I would assume it has the standard mitsubishi housing like the 14b.
Is there a tutorial out there for installing a 14b/16g on a 2g? I'm going to be doing this soon and would like to know exactly what I'm up against.I searched, but didn't find any threads that actually had a decent step by step account on what to expect. Does anybody know of one?
I had shavings (small as they may be) in the UICP. It was more or less like a fine metallic dust. I was just concerned that the dust may cause damage to the engine and possibly the new turbo. So I have nothing to worry about? Just clean her up an go, right?
As the title states, my t25 blew up on the highway. I plan on replacing it with a small 16g and new intercooler hard pipes. My big concern is that when the turbo went, the compressor wheel rubbed on the housing and there are some small metal filings in the intake tract. What would be the...
I had 2 separate issues.#1- The flanges were about 30 degrees off clockwise between the exhaust and the dp, so there was no way to bolt it up. The bolt holes on the 2.5 flange on my Thermal exhaust were spaced too close to work with the 3" dp flange too.#2- The dp flange was so much bigger...
I had the same issue with mounting my Megan DP to my Thermal R&D exhaust.I went to CarQuest, bought a 2.5" flange and a 3" id to 2.5" id adapter. Weld the flange on to the 2.5 side of the adapter and there you go.Measure it out and cut the flange off the downpipe, leaving it long enough...
Go to Sears and get a GatorGrip socket. The pins in the socket fit in the little grooves on the wheel lock and it turns right off. We used the GatorGrips at the shop I used to work for when people didn't have their lug keys.
Cut the pcv hose between the pcv valve and the intake manifold. Install it so the flow is pcv valve --> intake. That way, the pcv valve never sees any boost.
The volume and the pitch of the noise increases or decreases with road speed. It is a high-pitched whine at 75-80 and slows to more of a bad wheel bearing-grinding sound around 20 and below. The sound doesn't change with engine speed. If I hold the clutch in and coast from highway speed to a...
Your old axles will have a gear-looking thing around the end of the axle right where the axles bolt into the hub if it has abs. Also, you will have a wheel speed sensor on either side. One on each hub.If you don't have abs, you wont have those.
Alright fellas. I have a 2Gb Talon AWD w/ a manual trans and have a noise from the front of the car that sounds like a wheel bearing going. The passenger side bearing had some play, so I replaced it, and the whine is still there. The sound is speed related, not engine speed related. It...
It should work on any car with a 4 wire sensor, but don't quote me on that. A 1 or 2 wire sensor should only need the small resistor and the capacitor. Some cars may have different signal tolerances though.
Close. I modified his design a bit. What resistors did you use? Since they are simulating the heater circuit, they are not an area to skimp on. Overkill here is best in my opinion. Mine gets warm, but not hot.
Install a high flow cat or eliminate it all together? Tired of the check engine light? Did you try the spark plug non-fouler trick to no avail? Then build your own O2 sensor simulator.*note* You would be modifying your vehicle in a way the factory never intended. If something goes wrong...
O2 simulators cost about $50 and I'd have to wait for shipping. I had a cel from running with the sensor unplugged and this made it go away, all for $12 and about an hour of my time. I plan on a wideband when I decide to raise the boost.
My downpipe eliminated my cat and my old sensor was so rusted into the former exhaust that it was unsalvageable. I had the choice to do this or buy a new sensor and hope the non-fouler trick would work. This was by far the cheaper of two evils. The cost? Less than $12.
I thought I would share exactly how I did it.
*note* You would be modifying your vehicle in a way the factory never intended. If something goes wrong and you mess something up, I am in no way responsible.First, the parts list: (all from Radio Shack)(1) 3" x 6" project enclosure

A diffuser is nothing more than a decoration if it doesn't have an undertray extending at least part of the way of the car from it. Maybe what gixxerdrew is noticing is the reduced drag from having the "diffuser" installed since an Eclipse rear bumper is essentially a big parachute. When a...
For a rear diffuser to be functional, the car has to have a flat bottom. The Toyota MR2, Elise/Exige and other cars that a diffuser helps on all have flat under-tray panels. I'm not sure how the bottom of a 1G looks, but it isn't possible to flat-bottom a 2G. We have too much shit hanging...
There's not too much porting to worry about on the downpipe side of the turbo. Mainly, make sure that the wastegate flapper can open 90 degrees without contacting the turbo housing or the o2 housing. You can always remove the o2 housing and port that too though. Every little bit of extra flow...
I just received my cable bracket spacers from Shep Trans today and they didn't have any instructions with them. I bought these with the recommendation of a few users on the forums since I was doing the shifter cable bushings and the Symborski kit, but I have no idea where these little buggers...
Does anybody know the coupler sizes for the Injen or Ebay knockoff intake for the 2G with a stock turbo?Mine didn't come with the couplers and clamps and the ebay seller isn't cooperating, so I'm just going to buy some good silicone couplers and decent clamps.I searched, but only found...
