I agree you should start with all the maintenance first. After that I say dsm link is a must for tuning. Welcome to the site that I think by far has the best information out there for your dsm.

$600 is a good deal on any dsm to me but yea like bluelsr said i would do the basics after you purchase it.

i would double check the alternator even when you buy a new one. i was given a bad alternator from the parts store one time.

I am replacing my O2 sensor on my 91 eagle talon tsi. So i am trying to find out where it is located. i kno its in the exhaust some where.

tcu not the ecu was just changed out.

its intermittent. i just turned it on now and now its running again. just a belt squeaking a little.

yes my cars running at normal temp. it turns over but will click and the cel will come on.

ok im gonna check my fuses and wires. the only new thing i have done to the car is replace the tcu cause it died. The car also makes a weird clicking sound when it shuts off.:ohdamn:

i have a first gen eagle talon tsi. after i start it sumtimes it will light up check engine on the dash and shut off. any ideas what this could be?? Its also a automatic

The check engine light will come on randomly but does not stay on.

i checked the fuses they are good. At this point im feeling its the TCU :banghead:

I have a 91 talon tsi awd and it is stuck in third gear and reverse is harsh when it engages. I have been reading on the forums this most likely is due to the TCU going bad. Which pins on my TCU should i test??
