well from what im getting is your bottom end moved and top stayed i would have to say bent valves at least upload some pics on exactly what happened and check your timing.The first thing i would do is pull and check the bottom side of the head/top of the pistons make sure they didnt touch.

My car came with the hks filter i really dont like it,and have been looking into getting a k&n im running the injen intake too.I went out and measured we should be able to run this filter RU-3480 from k&n.I will let you know for sure when it arrives.
I have a 14b turbo on my car and big difference with boost and no real difference spooling.You could run a 16g on your car but I personally wouldn't especially your not looking to upgrade to link anytime soon.

You will still need the same jpipe and far as water lines just reuse your stock ones with a slight bend in them, but do get new crush washers for them.You can reuse your stock oil return line but personally I would find a used 1g one.
I would get rid of the pr bov thou. I actually just had one on my car and was causing all types of issues now i have a 1g bov on and car is running great.

Not sure if this is where i post this but i also have a 14b on my 2g gst and bought this kit before i knew they needed a recommend psi.It did come with a fitting for the turbo not sure if that's the restrictor both ends are pretty open.If not where could i buy the right one?
Well if your trying to learn how to fix it yourself as you stated.First i would download the service manual or buy a chiltons manual.Also if you just bought it and your doing the water pump i would suggest doing the timing belt as well and put the money you save and experience into somthing else.
He said it has a metal ecu case.I just want to say that's a gorgeous car and a rare find.I would open up the ecu and make sure it is not chipped/linked yet too.

You said there is to much oil in it make sure it's just oil and not other fluids too like radiator,gas etc..That compression on #2 is low what was the others at?I would also suggest doing a boost leak test im sure you will find a heap of them.
You mean the blow off valve is recirculated?It's easy to tell if there is a pipe from the blow off to the intake pipe.If you could upload a photo of what exactly your looking for we can help you better,and if someone just hacked a filter over the maf i would fix that.

The first thing I would do is get a boost gauge and recirculate that bov.Than I would do a blt (boost leak test).I've ran a ported o2 housing with 3"dp and 3" exhaust with the stock t-25 with no problems but I kept boost right around 12psi thou.
