So i just got a 97 gs-t. It has the 6bolt swap with 2g fwd auto tranny. Used the kiggly swap plate to do it. Those things i can see have been done. Other than that i dont know what is going on. I need help with the starter grinding , but still turns motor over. (not good) it deff is slipping off...

Update... Split trans and engine. Dowel pins are there... Bolts are tight. Still grinds. Anyone do this same set up take pix? Im new to this and the work was done before i got it. I need to fix their issue. New starter... No wear on bendix or flexplate. Should i replace the flexplate...

Update. I swapped the starter. It still grinds but its not grinding after it starts now at all. It grinds but turns over. Do i need a diff flywheel?

I read everywhere that thestarter plate, starter and pretty much everything else was the same but the flywheel.. And i assumed the equivalent.Could it just need shims?

the belt that came off on the front of ur car is the one that runs the power stearing. its really easy to install. the one that runs ur alt. is on the back and its also really easy to install. i would do it my self. and the belts are cheap. if u need a step by step let me know u can have it...
