  1. Radiator Fan Keeps Blowing Fuses

I wired the other fan directly to the battery, and it spun for a half a second before blowing a 20 amp fuse. How possible is it that it would be fine with a 30 amp fuse wired directly to the battery (for testing of course). I figure if it blew the 20, it would blow a 30 shortly after, but don't...
  2. Radiator Fan Keeps Blowing Fuses

The fan turns easily, and it doesn't smell like burnt electrical like the other one did. I suspect a short somewhere. I'll look around.
  3. Radiator Fan Keeps Blowing Fuses

I have the flex-a-lite 325 slimline fan system in my 99 GST. I was cruising down the freeway about 65 for 20 minutes or so with no previous cooling issues then out of nowhere the check engine light came on, and the water temp was creeping up. I start up DSMLink to see the water temp is around...
  4. My turbo manifold mock up complete!

What do you mean by control? Longer primaries shift your power curve lower in the RPM range.
  5. My turbo manifold mock up complete!

Looks good. How did you determine the primary lengths, and are they equal? Do you plan to back purge the welds?
  6. Show Your Permanent Laptop Setup

I want to replace my deck with a netbook. I currently use it for DSMlink, but it just sits in my passenger seat. I want to mount the netbook where the stereo deck is, but am looking for some ideas. Anyone have pictures of there permanent mount setup?
  7. Modify Stock Lifters Instead of Buying Revised?

I can definitely see how it would be a waste of time and resources for most people; however, I can use a machine shop absolutely for free, so in my case it's worth trying to alter the stock lifters, and, if I ruin them in the process, I buy the new ones anyway.
  8. Modify Stock Lifters Instead of Buying Revised?

Fortunately, I have access to carbide tools. I may take a stab at it sometime. My only concern is the depth I need to bore. Is there anything inside the lifter that I should steer clear of, and if so, does anyone know how deep I should bore?
  9. Modify Stock Lifters Instead of Buying Revised?

I am starting to get lifter tick on my 99 GST only when it's cold (outside and engine temp), and have read up on the subject. The cheapest revised lifters I can find are on ebay for $100. However, I have unlimited free access to a full machine shop and was wondering if I could modify the stock...
