I bought some 1200cc low z's for $124 shipped. I had some trouble with 2 of them being DOA and I told the seller he sent me 4 more to swap out and to minimize down time. When I went to replace them one or maybe two of them stuck open and raw fuel was spewing out of my open DP. Luckily it was E85...
The non-turbo blocks do NOT have oil squirters. A lot of guys remove them simply because they are just another thing to clog or fall off and damage the rotating assembly. They really don't help cool the pistons that much. You would be better off coating the pistons and removing the squirters.
Yes, they get hot. And they crack. I'd go with the FP mani. English racing said that they switched out an evo 3 mani for the fp mani and gained an addition 7hp without touching anything. And it's cast so the likelihood of it cracking is slim to none.
Umm no. The kelford 272's REQUIRE dual or Kiggly or equivalent beehive springs (a lot stiffer than the Evo 8 springs). I guarantee that those people having good luck will not have good luck for long.
I have 2 very nice rebuilt (0 miles) small 16g's for sale. They are capible of 38lb/min (~380hp max) and spool like a 14b. Best of both worlds. They do NOT come with turbine housings but will perform just fine in a 6cm or 7cm.I want 300 plus 10 bucks shipping or free local pickup.I...
"At the moment the Garrett is a little off to me. I had a Hahn Super20g turbo that didn't get enough oil and burnt up and couldnt fix it due to it being BB"Since when has the Hahn 20g's been Ball bearing??? Also, that statement is contradicting....BB turbo's require very little oil. So even...
if it is the 7 blade, it would require higher boost to come alive. If your friend wants to run that low of boost, the 8 blade would be better suited for him.More blades=better with low boostBut still pretty low numbers...
An Ebay 16g will have a smaller banjo bolt that goes to the turbo than the stock mitsu banjo bolt. I had to order an ebay oil feed line and banjo bolts from a member on here. You could also try a seller on ebay.I believe the thread and pitch are as follows- 10mmx 1.25
Maybe someone came...
That's spot on. I was wondering why he is so concerned with a specific amount of boost. I mean, after a certain point you're going to have to upgrade your head bolts to studs. And the stock bottom end is good for 500+hp with the right tune. So who care if you have to run 20 or 30 psi to get to...
I wouldn't buy anything off him. He has no clue what he's talking about in that ad. Take the WISE advice given in this thread and either stay away (recommended) or be extremely cautious. I know that's not what you want to hear but, go with your intellect over emotion. I've been ripped a few...
Universal 3" 20G Anti-surge Housing Compressor + Wheel | eBayThat one has a downward facing compressor cover to eliminate the j pipe. They sell the stock appearing covers as well if you want to keep it a sleeper/j pipe IC set up.They both clamp on with the big c-clamp just as stock. Pretty...
Tthen I hope you're not going to buy from that GOD Awful place. Use your brain and don't get screwed by those idiots. I had a built engine from them last a whole 2600 mile. Tore it apart and sand all in the bearing and crank. Good luck if you do but I don't like throwing money away. You may be...
You're Wiseco HD's have a .225 wall thickness. Pretty beefy and enough to satisfy your engine builder. That's one of two reasons they are "hd". The other is the forging process I believe. You measure the wall thickness by sticking one end of a micrometer in the center hole and the other end on...
Congrats!! That's an awesome setup! Maybe get some hks 272's in there and I think you'd see a decent power increase. You may have your reasons for those 264's though.
Its not a recommended to upgrade your springs with those cams.....it's required! You'll have real big problems if you don't upgrade the springs. There's another $400 you'll have to account for.
I highly doubt that is enough to rob even a few HP from you. If it makes you feel better, you could take that plug out and put in a short plug. Or at the very least shorten your existing plug. I have the same plug in my exhaust mani and the thought never crossed my mind.
I feel ya man. I alway feel like I have to have minimum 3 people lined up if a problem arises because no one is ever consistant. If I had the money, I'd overnight you an OEM disk to get you through this. Keep your head up man. You'll figure something out. Good luck with it man!!!
You are my inspiration! You help me stay focused on my build and give me a good direction to go in. Thanks for posting all of your progress. I can't wait to see how it does at the track!
Oh damn, that would suck. I don't have any 1g's close by. But makes me wonder, the kid's dad that had the car before me owned a body shop. It all looks straight but its not lining up at all.
Ok so I bought this shell about a year ago and it is a 93 talon AWD that came with the 7 bolt. I'm in the process of droping my 6 bolt motor and tranny in. I've been working on it for about 12 hours now (by myself) and the only mounts I can get lined up are the front and rear. It's about 2'' off...
There are many people running stock lines with E-85. I have personally done it and know of many other who have had success doing it. Even the stock fuel filter will be fine for a while. I had zero problems running it. I was scared to until I saw Mr. Peepers (Wiseman, 10 sec hx35) was doing it. I...
Ok but the fact that you weren't 100% clear in your first post isn't my fault. Nor did I deserve being belittled by you.By Justin's pictures, it doesn't seem to be close to .63 a/r. Maybe .48. But like Justin said, no one has any info proving anything for them. Gofer gave the best suggestion...
Ok big man LOLDude, I called you a d-bag because the first thing you said to my response was about me being in the red. Then you asked if it was enough to MAX out the hx40. I said no. I gave you better options to max it out. Didn't know me giving you T3 options would result in you bashing me...
Too bad your a complete ass. That's probably bad for business. I know it affects my decision to ever buy from you.'' The best choice to max out the hx40 would be either the BEP .70 T3 housing or the stock housing" - I believe that's an answer."it would not likely be able to max out the...
