Ahh you work at Peterson bro? If so, sorry I never got back to you after that Fundamentals class. Been mad busy working in the dungeon.
Trying to sell the DSM now!
Well, it's that time. Leaving the country...again. Wanted to donate the car, but thought I'd see if anyone on here wanted to buy one.
It's an auto. Bought it from a member on this board. Agedog.1998 Eclipse GSTHere is my craigslist ad. The CarDomain site doesn't have the pictures...
Although pricey, a nice lowering kit will do the job. Struts and springs will make your ride more smooth at a desirable height. Save a little each week toward the kit you want... it'll be worth it in the long run.
My DSM sits like 2 inches from the ground and I've taken some wicked curves at like 60.... of course this is at like 4am on the way to work... but none the less not an appropriate place to be doing it.
I will never use Craigslist again.
I just put my car up and received so many odd e-mails. The best was
Dude "OMG I love this car. I have cash. Please don't sell, I want to buy"
Me "Ok I will hold the car with proof of funds"
Dude "How am I going to show you funds when I am over here and you...
Hooray for not getting paid! Or not getting paid on time! Or only getting half a paycheck!
I can't even explain how this makes me feel. You could make me work 90+hr weeks and I wouldn't be as upset.. at least I'd be getting paid!
People plan their lives around these little paychecks. So what...
Leaving the incline the speed limit is like 20mph, which I am happy to abide by since there is construction and people roaming the streets. Dickfor behind me decides he wants to rev his engine and blast his bass. Now... don't get me wrong I'm all about blasting the shit out of my system, but...
I had this problem as well. The batteries to my fob were dead and the alarm would go off all the time.
Have you tried shutting the door putting the key in the door and turning it counter clockwise? It turned my alarm off... I'm sure it was counter clock wise. If not try clock wise after the...
Right... I didn't understand it either. But it's a quick fix... if it works it only cost you $3 for carb cleaner... if not at least you have a clean throttle body.
So about 4 months ago I had a bad hot start problem. Car would run beautifully until I turned it off and attempted to start it again. It would eventually start but even then it would run like it wasn't firing on all cylinders.
I took some carb cleaner... undid the throttle body... let it...
I think before the economy took a shit you would have been ok. Now Army recruiters don't need to kill themselves to get someone in. Sucks... but when there is no jobs available everyone thinks the military is an easy out.
yea.... just finished up all my homework now time to hit the streets!!
I haven't checked out the Broadmoor area... going to do that today. If you see a dark grey 2nd gen and hear my mad compression surge that's me!
You know stuff you've been meaning to work on, but things have come up/too lazy. You know.. I have a huge list...Front windshield wiper fluid pump needs replacing
Rear wiper motor needs replacing
Find/Fix boost leaks
Fix exhaust leaks.
REPLACE BOV. Mad surge.. sounds like a horse is...
Mitsubishi Eclipse Front Lip/Add On
Scroll down a little. I was looking for one too. I want more of a "flat" one rather than a "thick" one... if that makes sense.
The ones I wanted were usually held up by two wires.. after I get a paint job I'd like to get one installed so I'm not constantly...
hahaha... not as cool as you would think, but it beats the hell out of the regular Army. I was with the XVIII Airborne Corps for a little over a year before I got "recruited".
So I'm supposed to read through 22 pages of madness to get to the last 5 pages where some one hijacks the thread to talk about their own life's shit show?
Wow... I'll stay away from the "hangout" or maybe we should start renaming threads "read about peoples awful life and don't talk about the...
So my wonderful fiance gets upset every time I spend money on the car. Not much, I drop less than a c note a month for the most part. She goes home and calls me...."So I'm getting botox and some other minimal surgery done.. blah blah blah" of course I tune out.
I come to when she starts talking...
+1 to "drifting" in the snow. While I was in Korea I had a 95 Hyundai Elantra (pimp I know). I had some buddies in the car pulling into a parking lot "dude watch me drift this bi***" just playing around. Yea... well I "drifted" my front end right into the back of a brand new Buick.
Got out...
So I saw this 2nd gen sitting on the corner at a dealership on the way home from Denver like two weeks ago.. nice car I thought.
Had time today after the gym to go check it out.
WOW... 2nd gen GSX green with black leather interior... automatic.
Some one put some time into it. Everything is...
Nice I might hit that up this week or next.. what time do they usually head up there at?
Project - nice setup.. did you do the battery relocation yourself?
I know it is your dream car and all..... but you purchased the car with out even seeing it in person?
Also, how do you know it has $10,000+ of receipts, but you haven't seen the receipts either?
I'm not trying to be an ass... but you purchased this car on some one elses word. I would like to...
I am having the same problem now... car cranks, but doesn't turn over. I have been jumping it and it has been working, but I'm pretty sure its not the battery. Takes about 5 minutes of charging and cranking to get it to start. Sounds to me like the solenoid is worn/partly stuck.
I thought it...
So I have an aftermarket exhaust manifold and no heat shield. When the engine is at normal operating temp, the temperature from the mani heats up the whole engine bay to the point that I can't touch anything for atleast 2-4 hours after I shut it down.
So a cheap solution would be to heat...
