i got a ebay cat back srs brand... no complaints.... it bolted up perfectly to my stock downpipe, I then upgraded to a RRE downpipe I had a muffler shop cut off the 2.5" flange and weld a 3" flange and its perfect...no complaintsits not hard or complicated at all to cut the neckdown 2.5"...

some 96 ecus did come epromyes or you must get your non eprom ecu converted (98-99 black box ecus cannot be converted)
better to buy a 95 socketed eprom...or get it socketed yourself....unless you wanna convert a 97 ecu thats a better option since you wont have to swap spark plug wires or...

a couple of years ago i attempted placing my 4g63t in a 420 2g shell..couldnt find a gst shell at the time........... worst decision ever i had to cut the motor mounts weld the 4g63 mounts and when i thought i was almost finished my tranny was almost touching the floor....not worth the hassle...

the headlight idea is great...ive been thinking of it as well.... i would only cut out the high beam and make a vent sending the air to the intake filter if necessary...allowing you to retain your headlights for daily driving
