Im really suspecting the alternator but am hoping there is another probable cause. It wouldn't do this with the other alternators but then again i would get 12.4 volts when idling and 14 volts under load with the other dud alternators.
no only with the low beams on. i can have the tail lights on with the markers on and low beams off and wont have the issue, but as soon as the low beams are on and rev the car all interior lights, such as dome, low beams, tail lights, and cluster ill get the flicker.
Ok, this is my 4th alternator from Oreillys with in 2 months and is the only one i have received that is putting out the 13-14 volts during idle and cruise. All the others the car would have do be under decent load to provide a decent output aside front battery voltage.Only issue i am having...
How would one go about repossessing a vehicle that was sold privately.Issues are the payments of the vehicle are no longer being made, and it was clearly stated that if the payments were to fall behind 3 months, the vehicle is forfeited back to the owner on the title with a non-refundable down...
I'm currently attending school for auto technician/tuner. It's surprising how much this site has taught me as I've already known everything we cover from calculating cam specs, bearing clearances, afr, engine rebuilding... And the list goes on.I'm here asking for input for what to expect once...
Are you sure it's the starter clicking on he flywheel and not the relay? I know the single wire to the starter tends to fall off on mine so I'd check that as well.
I haven't checked compression, but mechanical timing is good and I wouldn't suspect the fpr
be over ran especially at idle even with a 255wally which I doubt it has, and if you saw this wire mess I'm sure you'd start tracing wires. Regardless you are correct a compression test is the first place...
Thank you for the reply. I understand the difference between the 95 cas, but this being a 6 bolt, could the issue be that it's not a 1g cas instead of the 97plus cas? I also forgot to mention the cas is inverted thru link.

Non 95/96 cas option used via LinkI bought the car not running but so far i have gotten it to idle by fixing the wiring for the O2 sensor ( i got...
I've been fixing so many wire issues with this car and the MAF is my final issue to trace from this slaughtered harness.
On the Maf Pig tail there is 2 "Blue/yellow" wires. Which one of them goes to the ecu on Pin #90.I've uploaded a photo labeling the two wires as wire 1 and wire 2. Thanks in...
My o2 sensor is not giving any type of feed back to the ecu as I log during Dsmlink v2.
Reads .02I got a new sensor, and same issue.
Does anyone know how i can wire the upstream o2 sensor directly to the ECU?
The harness in this car is a mess and would be much easier to do so.Wire color...
Yes, pin 52, and one of the previous owners botched the hell out of this harness in a wire tuck attempt. Looks good but pretty sloppy. So no i couldn't find a wire to match it up with.
I just bought this car 2 days ago and its misfiring like a mofo.1995 TSi

2g Head Wtih Black CASI need help figuring out where to route this wire i found cut off.
Thanks in advance.
Don't forget to get a new timing belt and tensioner. Last thing you want is to put everything according to have one fail and be back to tearing the head back off.If you haven't already done so that is.
What comp numbers did you get? You should also go ahead and do the blt. Spray bottle is for those hard to find ones but you'll find the large ones easily.
It could be a number of things. Start with the easiest.Check the engine fuse underneath the bay. About 2 months ago i had a short that kept blowing that fuse preventing me from starting the car.Next I would test the coil pack with a multimeter. The problem could also lay within the crank...
Stockers ? :) how do you like the nrgs?, I'm not too happy with mine :/ horrible custom bracket haha but it will hold up till I get my hands on some oem.
I already knew this t28 was made Garrett. Their stamp was a dead give away :p I just refer to it as fp due to the fact they got their hands on it and tweaked it.
