Finally got some coilovers. Only they're for a 240sx...Jacked the car up and took it apartSo, I had to do some fabrication work. I put the top hats on the lathe and turned them down to the correct diameter, then i drilled out the holes for the 3 bolts and milled out a step so the bolts can...
Small update, the car still needs aways to go before its ready for the street like DSMlink, wideband, larger injectors, coilovers, tires, bolting up all the little things, etc. but i couldn't help but drive the car for the first time every since i've owned it.First drive barely hit 2.5k rpm in...
That could be it, but all 4 cylinders have spark and all injectors are firing. An injector or two may be clogged, though. I got these injectors from a junkyard 2g about a year ago and never tested them. They're only there to get the car started lolI should be getting some larger injectors once...
Honestly, if you have the time and MONEY to swap a 4g63 over to a RWD car it shouldn't be too hard to get the car running, especially if you already have a running 4g63. Just research anything you plan on doing BEFORE you do it, it'll save you a ton of time/headaches. My mistake was starting...
First of all, sorry for the serious lack of update. Gonna try to post regularly and get more detailed photos of when i do things. I had a lot more photos of the car when i was working on it but sadly, the SD card was damaged and now a lot of them are gone. below are some photos of the stuff that...
Thanks. Im sure i can handle the install LOL.
As for the complete lines, ive considered (and still am considering) using them but i was mainly wondering about the safety of the -3 swivel fittings. I would hate a failure of my brakes because of those. I suppose it will be safe since thats what...
Okay so I've been searching for a couple days and cannot find an answer to my question. Im at the point in my build (the 280z, this is not a DSM) that i need to work on my brake system. Im starting off with the brake lines though. I've torn out all my brake lines because they are close to 40...

Im sorry I haven't uploaded anything for a while.. I have been working on it though. I don't want to post any pictures of the car until the paint is ready (already sprayed, just need to finish polishing it). I have got some '07 350z seats from a friend that I've modified to fit in the s30, I'll...
Hey man, nice to see you're still working on the Z. You're giving me some motivation to get back in the garage, but between school and work its hard to find time to work on the Z anymore :(. Once you start with the wiring, please message me because thats really the only main thing i need to get...
Got some work done, mostly mock up work... let me know what you guys think. Im waiting on some an fitting i ordered to install the fuel pump and lines after i do all the welding
Got some parts in the mail :rocks:.....10 gallon fuel cell
walbro 255 inline pump
-6an fuel line (15')
AFPR, no name-hopefully it works :pray:Should install either this weekend or next.
Thats what i would have suggested to the op also because that would be a great way to learn, but the reason he doesn't want the shop to assemble his short block is because of money so i don't think he's up for getting a junkyard motor LOL
If you insist on doing the work yourself, go out and grab a service manual from auto zone and follow all the specs exactly as they are in the book, and a huge factor is making sure the motor is clean. If you don't think you can work in a clean environment and keep the motor clean, don't even try...
Jeremy, thank you for posting that! i could not find that page and ive been looking for weeks now. is the diagram brendon made know to work? my harness is hooked up about 95% like that one. i just have to made small adjustments and itll be exactly like that one. thank you so much ill post back...
Okay Steve, i did what you said, and now when i hook the ecu up (12v, and ground) i get 12v at the appropriate plugs, MAF, injector resistor box, cas, O2, isc, (power wire) etc. and 0v at all the grounds, so i think I'm on my way, But I'm not sure what that means... Is there any way to verify...
You're the guy i was hoping to hear from LOL.Im positive i counted the pins right. When i send power to pin 80 alone and ground nothing, i still see 12v at all the grounds and pin 80 is supposed to see constant 12v. does that mean my ecu is done? Im very confused with the results i got.
Okay i was back in the garage today trying to get the ecu to just turn on. I assume when pin 36 (the CEL wire) sees 12v it means the ecu is on, correct?Anyway, i got pin 38 (MFI relay control) and pin 80 (backup power supply) and hooked them up to 12v and got 12v at pins: 36 (CEL)...
Yeah, it took me awhile to stumble on it, and its funny because the guy was replying to a question gafro asked(youtube) and i looked into what he was saying and found the diagram. He's actually a member on here, hopefully he can reply and help me out.Once i have a 91-94 ecu ill be giving this...
Hey Ace, I think i may have finally found an answer to what we are both looking for. 4G63 | HotrodCoffeeShopIt is going to have to be completely rewired from what i gather... I will be trying the wiring once i get a hold of a 91-94 ecu, hopefully eprom.I really hope this is the diagram that...
-'95 eprom ecu
-'97 wire harness
-1g CAS, wired up the Magnus way.. http://magnusmotorsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/1gina2g.pdf
-6 bolt 4g63tOkay so I'm at a point where i can beginning doing the wiring for my Datsun. I have the ecu pinouts and i need some help..I have tried...
It is a lot of sharp bends but the way the car is its kinda the only way i could make the exhaust because i need it to come out of the driver side and the exhaust comes down from the passengers side and i have to leave room for the gas tank so those 90s at the end are needed to fit the gas tank...
Well, i have good new! I had some time today and i thought id tackle my exhaust. I began with the down pipe from the turbo, top mount turbo :hellyeah:. then i made the rest but was so caught up in making it that i forgot to take pics while i made it lol but i have pics of it all tacked together...
I would only not run a BOV on low boost applications, in my datsun, it won't have a BOV when I'm breaking it in, which will only be about 8 psi.
In my old dsm, i removed the BOV once just to see what happened and it ran the best it ever has without it. in between shifts the boost hardly dropped...
Ive made some progress with the car... i should have the exhaust done either this or next weekend, hopefully. Hardly have time to work on it but its going along. Also i welded the diff, but i forgot to take pictures :ohdamn:. Heres a teaser pic...
Might have a blown turbo, because of the oil in the intercooler. But as far as the BL test, look up a video on youtube, I'm sure there are tons of good ones there. Good Luck.
Im sorry for the lack of updates. Ive been really busy latelu and dont have much timeor energy to work on it. Ive only done little things like bleed the brakes and clutch and started putting the interior back in the car, which is easy condidering there will only be the dashboard, seats anf seat...
The car will be a darker shade of purple when i paint it. i want to get it as black as possible with only a hint of pearl. I will add way less pearl to the clear when i do the whole car.
So I've made some progress on my car. I painted the engine bay the final color of the car. Car should be painted in the next couple weeks. Heres some pictures:
Haven't been able to do much between school, work, and personal life stuff. Been working on little things that need to get done but not worth mentioning LOL. Here are some pics of the intercooler and the cold side of the piping (can't do the hot side yet because i don't have a turbo or...
Id go 4g63t :p keep the weight as low as possible LOL. But if not id pick the 2jz over a v8 any day. Just waiting on parts and the weekend to come so i can actually touch it. I need to mount my intercooler already, Its HUGE. 3"x12"x31"
