ECMlink Resolved! stalling on speed density and popping out of 2nd, 4th, reverse

This is how I resolved the two issues listed above. Worked for my car but I'm not sure if it will work for yours or not. Im simply explaining what i did and not telling you to do the same.Basically my setup is 6 bolt block with 7 bolt head, E85, HTA68 turbo with supporting fuel upgrades.1...

ECMlink Car wont idle or rev correctly

In that case no your old tune wont work. SD is extremely sensitive to any change in airflow. This is what I would do if you can figure out what's going on. Get a MAF and put it on, load the evomod1 or stock 2g fuel and tuning maps, your ECU is already configured for E85 and your injector size so...

ECMlink Car wont idle or rev correctly

Like the guy above stated you have a few things to fix. Honestly man SD is already a pain even when it works right and the fact that you messed with so many "airflow related" items makes it even harder. If its feasible, save your current tune to your desktop and convert back to MAF and its last...

    2G sd at what point

I don't think anyone mentioned how much of a pain it is to get SD dialed in. Its a long and tedious process if you want it to work right. Knowing what I know now, I am not going back to SD unless I plan to wire in ethanol sensor to the ECU and let it automatically control fuel delivery. I had a...

ECMlink Car won't start on SD

Dude I looked at your log and you don't have a manifold pressure source identified in pin assignments, you have it selected at the bottom telling the ecu where to look but you need to also select it up top. Where is say MDP------factory/ click on factory and in the drop down menu select your...

ECMlink Car won't start on SD

Since your sensor is installed in the mdp location, where it say mdp up top, omni 4 bar should be selected there..save pin assignment..below that you will see an area that says manifold pressure I beleive, that should say mdp telling the ecu to look at the mdp location for manifold pressure...

ECMlink drastic afr changes at idle when I touch the gas pedal

This started when I put my 7 bolt head back on the 6 bolt block. Car is a 99gst. Black top cas. Im on speed density and as you can see the car idles fine if i don't touch the gas. When the touch the gas pedal it goes rich and then super lean. It died a few times doing this. The car also drives...

    ECMlink random lean spike

I can't view your log but I'm 100% sure it's the tps delta...it's under throttle tip in in the da area. I already increased each value by 15 in some areas but tps delta still spikes on my log in some places. I'll be increasing it more today for better results.

ECMlink Help with evo8 mod1 maps..hta68 on speed density

    Engine spun bearing, rebuild questions

My fully built engine just spun a bearing on the dyno recently..I'm sending it to strictly performance and what we talk about doing is them doing the machine work and resusing most if not all the performance parts I already have. It's going to cost me little over 2k only because I need a new crank.

    2G Last Ray of hope

Im planning on doing this swap as soon as my 7 bolt piss me off too much. Was it a pain to do? I read all the wright ups it seems pretty simple. Im looking for a cheap 6 bolt long block for the time being. Moving to Daytona in 2 months so it should be easy to find one around there.

Nope the stock fans fit perfectly and the J pipe I'm using is from VRSF. I ended up having to cut off about a quarter inch off the studs on the radiator where the smaller fan is bolted. The blades were barely touching the j pipe at times. Ill upload a vid of his car later on today.

Another major issue developed on the dyno. It appears that the car was running too rich for too long when they switched to speed density causing gas or exhaust gasses to mix with the oil somehow. Looking to Buy/Build a GSX: Buy a nice bone stock one?

2G Need opinion about short block

I am not. I'm using the stock maf and ecuflash. I have been looking into speed density but I'm not too savy on that as yet. My tuner is pretty familiar with flashing the 98/99 ecu so I'm hoping to learn a few things from him. You are using link?

2G Need opinion about short block

That's awesome man. I have a GST now but I would love a GSX platform to put some serious power down. Holsets are good turbos, cheap and reliable. The guy who was supposed to build my car reccomended a holset but I did the build myself and stuck with the 68hta. Just need to get it dyno tuned now.
