well i was driving to work yesterday and i was at a light and i looked down at my gauges (i like to check them frequently driving a dsm and all) and my temp gauge was about 3/4 of the way up!!! around then the light turned green so i took off and the gauge dropped back down to normal (1/2 way)...

i used a felpro when i put my head on with arp head studs torqued them the same way you did havent had any problems 20psi for 6 months... but the original reason for hg replacement was the exhaust stud that the previous owner and reamed in there finally caused a little crack and oil would spray...
i had the same problem... in my case it was a small leak from the turbo drain leaking onto my exhaust and then the guy i had got the car from didnt have the pvc system installed so every now and again some oily sludge would burp out of there...
jb weld or quick steal just clean the area and scuff it up a biti've used that quick steal on everything from gas tanks to radiator leaks carburetors etc...

they may not have the crank walk issue, but they still dont have the massive rods that the 6 bolts come with!!!! but if your not mechanically inclined i wouldnt attempt the swap....
to get this out of the way.... why in the world would you keep driving it knowing it had no oil pressure and was overheating??????personally i would go ahead and do the 6 bolt swap they are tougher motors all around in my book...and if your head isnt too badly warped you might be able to get...
