The more and more I look at this 1G, the more I like it. The issue I have with transmissions is that with a prior DSM, I purchased a so-called "built" transmission from a guy in Phoenix and as soon as I had it installed, the grinding started as well. I took a look at other "part out" threads...
How much would your friend sell the built transmission for? Is the transmission built to OEM specs or built to withstand some abuse? Would you be able to handle putting on the remaining parts as well prior to the car being picked up?
Fellas, where have we gone wrong here and how did the topic take such a downfall? Can we try to stay on topic? I am really interested in learning about this capability in the DSM.
OK. So it needs a built transmission, intercooler pipes, and a BOV, right? The more I look at this car, the better it looks. What are you using for tuning?
This is great, my friend. The thing that comes to mind is although it is a single .rom file, but that does not speak to the ability of the ECU to "adjust on the fly" to compensate for changes within E85. But like another member that posted here, maybe it is all smoke and mirrors as it really...
Apparently, the ECU "automatically adjusts" based on the amount of ethanol present. It also seems as if each map is dynamic. I know about changing maps via a laptop between E85 and pump/93 but the one thing that has always been a concern of mine is for example, being tuned on E85 and then in...
Hello all. Based on the latest news in the GTR world, I was wondering about the possibility of this becoming an option for the DSM platform.Worlds first flex fuel factory Ecu GTR! - evolutionm.netI know that this has been discussed in the DSM realm at length but I am not sure if there...
I know this is bringing back the dead, but a friend of mine sent me a pretty interesting achievement in the GTR world of which I responded to as follows: I know that this has been discussed in the DSM realm at length but I am not sure if there was support to invest the money by a company in a...
This is absolutely the DSM flavor I like. I am in the business to buy another and have it shipped to Texas as my search here has come up with low quality or extremely overpriced DSMs. I would not have an issue buying the car unseen if it is still available at the beginning of next month.
I do not think $10K is too extreme of an asking price giving all variables. My only issue is that I will have to pay an extra $1K to have the car shipped to Texas.
So, just to re-cap, it seems like the 71HTA would be better suited for the OPs concerns, right? As for the 71HTA, on E85 it should be good for 450whp, right? And on 93-octane, about 400-425whp, right?
Since you have already addressed your future fueling concerns, I will leave that alone. I am interested to know what brand and from where are you planning to purchase the Walbro 400lph fuel pump if that is what you select. On the topic of the 6262 and your goal of 500whp, I would say that it...
