You can also purchase UV dye for oil. If it is a steady leak just add the dye, and with a uv light and yellow glasses you'll be able to see where the oil is coming from.

The 3G GT have the 3.0, no coils. It has a distributor. Check the basics first, plugs, cap, and rotor. Make sure there isn't excessive corrosion on the distributor points and the rotor as well.

Pulled the motor out today, and tore it down. Found a lot of shavings in the pan. Cylinder 4 spun a bearing. Going to send the block out next week to have it mangnafluxed, and cleaned. The exhaust side of the turbo was cracked on the cast housing as well.
Honestly it's pretty simple. That's how I did it on my 3rd gen using EvoScan. Once you make that all you have to do is pick up a USB-serial cable. plug everything in go to the Wideband drop menu. Pick the UEGO then select what comport it's plugged into.
