So I just bought a built head from my friend...it's just the head, valves, springs and retainers....however the guy he got it from didn't include the cam caps, supposedly the head has 1500 miles on it from being built which I believe because the head is super clean...can I just grab cam caps off...

Whoever put the "skatebearing mod" on my car must have smashed them on with a hammer because I cannot get them off at all....I'm not really sure how to get them off without damaging anything...I'd really hate to try and wrestle the motor out without the trans because of the stupid cables....

I'f you get them reupholstered I don't think they'd be worth anymore then a good condition stock seat...at the same time if they're in bad shape they're not worth about anything...I have the same interior in my 91 gsx and IMO it's the best lookling interior color for 1gs
At the price FP sells these beauties, they might as well have just hooked up with mitsu 20 years ago and made these stock on dsm's....Love my FP mani and have gotten a few friends to buy one as well

Thanks slickers....was trying to avoid removing the CAS to test it because I don't have a timing light but looks like I'll have to find one...I'm gonna go test it tomorrow and I'll post the results...No CEL and I'll check for boost leaks again too
My buddy has a 91 gsx that starts but then dies and kind of sounds like it misfires a little and dies...took the iac off an cleaned the buildup and tested it (good) put it back on it started idled for about 3 seconds then died tried to restart it and it starts and dies right away...you can keep...
