fast fridays was a bad turn out due to the weather but this next one on the 29th should be much better fast five after KC trends if anyone is interested
The dlc fuse is the cigar lighter fuse check that one. Also when trying to get it into programming mode you have to turn the key on off 3 times within 10 sec of jumping the connector also make sure all doors are closed when doing it sometimes it doesnt want to go into programming mode when the...
it should be a yellow wire ne the long side of the connector jump 1 to 4http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT7XubsISPel-BC_9y4Xvhg3jAiVrvH9oNmXcSc3Vp_pc39gbLiVQ&t=1
Honestly in my opinion i would say its the syncro that went out on it best bet is going to be rebuild the tranny... I havent seen to many worn gears do that because the grinding noise you hear is actually the synrco's dog teeth grinding on the coupler
good song by the way when cruisin... it sounds like you got a short some where i know you checked the wires but it may be internally shorting somewhere thats why it sparked when putting the bolts back in. Best bet is to check your voltage readings at the wires for constant 12 volt signal and...
Also dont know how close you guys are to Overland Park / Olathe area but starting in in a few weeks every other friday night KC trends holds this thing called fast fridays totally free just a bunch of car guys hanging out didnt see too many dsms out there but it would be nice to get a few more...
from looking at the kits it looks like another generic kit blank comp. housing I would recommend just saving for something you know has some background on it rather than rolling the dice on a no name brand
theres a bolt on the back side of the block right below the starter take this out and stick a screw driver in when everything is lined up the screw driver will be able to go all the way in. The balance shafts are a 3:1 ratio so it may look like it is lined up and its out
Sun roofs are designed to leak and that bar is was funnels the leaking water down the back to go out the tubes. You need that bar or the sunroof will leak water on you. I may have a couple i have quiet a few sunroofs laying around pm me and i'll check when i get the chance to dig them out
It sounds like youre having a short problem you can blow that fuse if the power wire gets grounded. May want to go back and recheck the cable going to the alternator and make sure its not grounding anywhere. Look of chaffing or any sort of connections the may have the chance to ground
I didnt have to tap into any of the amp wires to make all my speakers work with an aftermarket head unit. Just go to best buy or a local audio shop and get the harness that does not have any rca inputs just the wires. One other thing is if you want your dash speakers to work on mine i had to...
when you get the chance pull the door panel off and hit the motor (not hard but dont be a pansy about it) while trying to roll the window up if this works then your window should go up and its time for a new motor.
I got handcook hrii and im not a huge fan they are kinda noisy up at speeds. I got a deal on them through work only end up paying like 75 bucks a piece but i will say its a long lasting tire rated for 80,000
the sunroof drain tubes are on each corner of your sunroof frame you'll have to pull the headliner down a bit to be able to see them. Just get compressed air and a blow gun and blow the s*** out should be able to hear the air coming out of each wheel well. they drain right behind the splash guard.
your best bet is to pull in all apart again and see if theres any damage. There is a good chance you did damage something but you may have gotten lucky
my awd megan dp is one piece and has only the bend to make it go under the car. It should run right next to the driveshaft. I would send them a picture and show them what you got going on. I too have had no problems with extreme kinda fishy if you ask me
its all about the density of the air if its cold out the air is much much denser so in turn you will hit fuel cut easier so just watch out i know i have to crank down the MBC on mine during the winter because i will hit fuel cut like a mo fo
do you know if the water pump has been replace recently? that can cause vibrations and low coolant levels. And for the oil check the oil filter areas for leaks.
sea foam works great but sometimes too good it may loosen up things that didnt need it. It also can clear a hole that was plugged by sludge or build up. just a fair warning you may run into more noise from the valve train and/or leaks. but like i said it does work great and if the motor has been...
unplug your maf. if its a boost leak this will put your car into limp mode basically running rich as hell. see if it still stumbles going slowly up to 2 - 2.5. Also may wanna try cleaning the wire in the maf with some brake clean just spray it down reall good let it dry then put it back on.
There is a megan kit on ebay not much more than this one plus its at least a brand name. Your better off getting a known brand from a vendor so if there is problems you at least have that to fall back on
The only problem with lining up the locks is you have to have the new pieces to swap out. Each one is slightly different in size. also talk to your dealer they should be able to just swap two of the tabs around and make a new key for it so your old keys would fit in the lock but not unlock it...
Mine did the same thing and the tension was out just enough to let it squeal when cool but not when warm. If its been doing it awhile would recommend going ahead a replacing the belt anyways. Always a safe bet.
Basically the blow off valve can only hold so much pressure before the spring inside actually releases some of the boost. If under that spring limit the BOV will not open until vacuum is supplied to it. The point of this is to not all pressure to stay in the intake during shifts and or...
