I don't have any pictures, but I just got the coolant tube that runs behind the turbo and the o2 housing off of a1g 4g63 n/t. I also have the 90 oil filter housing with air cooled oil cooler.:thumb:
Thank you kadietsi! I am planning on building a head soon and was also wondering if that needed a gasket as i could not find a pn anywhere. And i was also curious about the cas position!
hopefully mine will be done by then :) and if you think that all the oil is in the middle east, look up williston nd. There is an oil formation under this place that streches up to canadia. The entire countyside here is ruined by oil rigs. The newspaper even has a rig count on the front page...
I have had the head off of my old 90 eclipse next to the head from my buddies 95 tsi and the ports on the 1g looked massive. I have heard people claim that the 2g can outflow the 2g, but after simpkly looking at them side by side i am an unbeliever.
I have searched high and low, inside and out, near and far. I have braved the flipping cold ND evening and went through the 3 foot snow drift behind my eclipse. After finding out that the hatch seal is no good, hand shoveling the 4 inches of snow out and searching through every nook and cranny I...
I am also interested in a set of these! please pm me whenever they are up for sale with the price and shipping to 80233. finish is not an issue as i can powdercoat themn to match the rest of my engine parts. Thanks:rocks:
WHY hasn't somebody closed this yet? I would hope after three years he has made a decicion and upgraded to the point of needing a bigger clutch and starting a new thread altogether.
I also laughed when he pulled the tape off!!!! I was looking at the first picture thinking "is that duct tape?" And then rip! Classic, so when is he parting out the car?
I agree with some/most of you guys. The show definitly lacks the carisma between the hosts, it definitly is not the brittish version it is it's own show. even if it is starting out as a sub-par version. I like that they had the evo race down the mountain but wish there were less people on the...
welll i already have an outlander and a 92 laser awd, but what i have been searching for is an older colt(late seventies, early eighties i believe) That came with a manual transmission and half gears!
i have facebook mobile on the droid, so i just flip through that whenever i look at my phone for the time, but when i get home it is either dsmtuners or the variety of vendors that i have grown to love from this site!
They had a write up about that in one of the tuner magazines last month or two. I believe that guy used some drey ice(a lot of it) all over the floor and then hammer and chiseled big chunks of it off.
on my old 90 the mpi fuse looked okay, but turned out it wasn't. Try getting a new one/ swapping it out with another ( or in a VERY desperate situation, hold a pair of needlenose across it )
call your local salvage yard, they will be able to tell you exactly what year, makes and models interchange with your car, where they may be located and how much. If they are not to big on customer service go to Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market Is the tranny on the 420a even on...
What i have done before is put a 12mm wrench on one of the 4 pulley bolts, along with a bar over it for leverage (to keep the motor from spinning) then put a 1/2" breaker bar(the bigger the better, as long as you have room to move it) on the middle bolt and loosen it that way.
wished i had the money for a new turbo already! then started doing more research after looking at the aem engine management that i just spent my turbo money on! :)
If our cars are made for girls, why are so many of them equipped with manual transmissions? There are not a lot of girls that i know that can actually get a stick shift out of the driveway!
I am an apprentice lineman. I also do mechanic work on the side. Plenty of money for my addiction just not much time to put the pile of parts on my car! My wife is really understanding(she is clueless about cars) and i just keep buying her cool kitchen gadgets and pay all the bills so she can...
Whenever i go to walmart i am very thrifty when it comes to checking out. Most of the time when i am waiting in line i am trying to figure out a way to get out quick. If you only need a few items from the automotive section at the back of the store, park in the line to get your oil changed and...
If it is consistent with your vehicle speed it could be the u-joint. Same thing happened to me in my awd outlander a month ago. On a side note: One of the carrier bushings found it's way onto the grass 20ft away, turns out the 3k gt, and the dsm bushings are the same as the outlander as well!
It is possible that you have a 4g63.5! A 4g64 (2.4) bottom end With a1g 4g63 (2.0 dohc) head. If so there are two ways they are put together. One is with the ultra rare 4g64 bottom end that came with a dohc, or they did what everyone else does and plugs a few of the oil/water passages on the...
They may not be for the faint of heart but that in-between weekend garage wrenching sessions sure is fun! If your not wanting to spend too much money is it out of the question to rebuild your motor?
did it come with out a ring gear? the studs are just another way to make sure everything is aligned. it should come apart rather easily with a hint of persuasion. But just a hint.
