Did your tach drop to 0 immediately before you pushed in the clutch? If so check your fuses, I had an ignition fuse blow once and my tach dropped to 0.
i second bad grounds. I had a light flickering problem for a while, the car didnt run right. Found out my ground wires went bad and the gound post on the battery was worn down.
Maybe not my fav, but it stands out!

I actually had more problems with my centerforce then the act I put in its replacement. Not sure why but it just didn't hold the power I put down (275awhp) and my act still holds. IMO act worked great granted your clutch adjusted and working properly
Fiexed some small oil leaks today, fixing some boost leaks friday, and ordered up a NGR Type-S but they didnt ship it out on time. I was hoping to sport that on Saturday. Oh well. Ill be there at 9 =)
I took my 100 lb box out of my awd because it made a huge difference. Slower though the gears, launching was different, cornering I didn't notice so much but my rear shocks seemed stiffer over speed bumps. I just put it all back in when I go for long drives!
Do a BLT. My idle problems like yours where cured when i fixed the leaks.EDIT: just saw the 420A :ohdamn: Ya check for leaks, it sounds like the ECU is going lean and trying to catch its self
I went and got myself a starter at schucks myself... Lifetime replacment and there easy enough to replace. 2 years and still cranking hard, i dont think you will have to replace it again any time soon.
I got the new filter and modified the fuel hanger to take the fuel line instead of the o-ring. After driving around to see if my trims changed, no such luck.So when i get access to an air compressor ill do the BLT and see if i can get my throttle body rebuilt.
I couldnt tell ya, i've never used it. If its anywhere as thick and sticky as the grey then i dont see why not. As long as its ment to hold up to oil and high heat.
So I have talked to Jeff, he sent me an email explaining the math and said it should be right. Ill look for the email. As for the o2 sensor it sweeps just fine as I just replaced it recently. Logging with pocket logger.Ill do a blt, tho I did one a while back and had only the TB leaking out...
I used some grey RTV and mine was fine. Also a guy that worked for mitsu a while back said they used RTV as well and didn't know they came with a paper gasket.
So I've had this problem for a long while. For a while i had 2g maf and 550's and had a crazy lean problem...Well now I've gotten dsmchips ecu programmed for the 2g maf and the 550's. Changed out the fuel regulator, new ECU... Last motor went bad so i changed out the motor for a rebuilt...
Sounds like you are blowing your dip stick out. I used some zip ties to hold my dip stick down. Some people pinch the tube so it wont come out too easy but i wouldnt do that. You can go buy a new stick from mitsu or maybe from one of the venders here. Clean up what you can and see if you get...
Seen it with my own eyes, i can say he does.On my own personal note i used to own a FWD that pushed 27psi DD with no problems. It has alot to do with tuning and timing from my experience. more boost, less timing = more HP =)
Well, when I got home today I popped the plug off that cylinder and put some oil down there and cranked it over a few tines with the pressure tester on there. #2 tested at 140 vs yesterdays 105... could loosing that valve cause damage to the rings? It seems possible that it could have been lean...
I was going to do one more compression check, wet this time on that cylinder. I've got valves I can get from my last motor, I'm sure that would work =]
The motor has about 2000 miles on it so its fairly new. I think ill be putting new parts in, but I was thinking about getting it built and ported, I'm still not sure yet as money is a little tight.
So i went ahead and threw the tester on it while it was hot from the drive home. tested 135-105-145-150. The low one is the one that the rocker came off. The car runs fine but i imagin that im looking at a bent valve. Which sucks because i just got the motor off a dude i used to know that...
Yeah the rocker looked fine. No marks on any of the surfaces of the rocker or the cams. It was on the intake side though. Just looks like it popped off and wedged its self in a good place out of harms way.
One of my intake rockers came off and I found it in the head while doing an oil change. What can cause this? My guess is valve float but what do you think?
Check the clutch pedal for worn bushing. Also i have had that problem before that kinda went in and out, sometimes hard and sometimes easy to shift. Just so happens my whole transmission was backing off the motor...
OK, so I will post some pictures and do some research on rebuilding it after work. Rebuilding it will get me by until i can afford name brand. I'm going to email Jeff back to see how much of a refund we are talking about. Now that I think about it, the diaphragm looked just like one out of...
So I bought this regulator from Jeff at dsmchips a while back. It worked great till recently it failed on me, pushing fuel out the top and vacuum port. He has given me the option to replace it or do a part refund and I was wondering if anyone knows if this is worth trying again.
I had the same "hard to start" problem on my car for a while. Found out that i installed the o-ring on my fuel pump wrong and it was causing my system pressure to drop to 0, i literally had to put my foot down on the gas to get it to start. Do you have a fuel pressure guage? does it keep...
I have a set of Konigs that have just been sitting. The clear went bad on them (before i got them) and i threw some paint on them, just never got them installed because i couldnt afford the rubber.
