sound like u spun a rod bearing if your going to pull the motor take your rods and crank shaft to the shop and then buy new bearings and sealsvideo of it knocking?

i have a 93 gs nt putting in a new ecu and a use trans i could let it go for 1500 it has a 6 bolt swapped in to it why idk i got it that way it needs some tlc but runs good when i don't buy a bad ecu lol

first off i would test the alternator witch sound like it is bad second i would assume the worst and check your rod bearings and for play or splitting pulleys.when you rev up dose dose the sound come on at about 2-3k rpms and go away after that?

i seem to be haveing the same problem but on a 1.8

k well if it is the ecu i bet steve can fix it for you

pull the ecu and look at the caps and for corrosion

put up some picks im getting really good at telling bad ecus

went to pick up the gst today he went to start it to let me hear the knock and it threw a rod threw the block

um it could be coils wires the plugs the power moduleecu a fuse bad ground a short cas timing thats all i can think of at the moment give me a sec and i will remember more

could the reson the gs is eating ecus is that the motor in it is a gst?

7 bolts where stock after 92.5 or April 92 i believe

if you can get it to run off start fluid i would check the head for cracks and see if maby part of the hg was faulty

bad gas could do that along with a faulty hg or cracked head or blocktry bleading some gas out of the tank and see if it will ignite
