Very impressive build man. You sure spent a lot of time and money on this. I'm glad it's working out for the most part so far. Patience deff pays off in the long run.Jealous is a very describing word for how I feel right now. :thumb:
No you can't just pull your intake off and leave it like that. The car wasn't designed to be ran that way.It can be done but its rather pointless to do just for that reason IMO.
You also have to look at it from the other perspective. Some places like that have found out that they need to charge for small things just to stay in business. I'm sure only a few D-Bags get a hard on for ripping regular people off like that.8 Dollars isn't the end of the world. 45 Dollars...
I learned on an 86 Honda VF500 Interceptor. Best bike ever to learn on. Had enough power for me so I could get a little rush but not enough that the front end would be coming up. When I bought my 01 GSXR 600 that was a huge difference.600 RR bikes ARE NOT beginner bikes. If I had bought the...
^Exactly the same spot I'm in. For me to go out and find a job is irrelevant. I make a tiny bit less on unemployment then I would making 14 dollars an hour. But I believe that my time is worth more then having a paycheck of an extra 30 bucks at the end of the week. Plus the odds of finding a...
UP is garbage. I've tried calling like 12 times already today and its busy half the time and the other half they can't take my call. The government is starting to piss me off.
If I can give you any bit of advice. I'd say save your money, or save some kind of money.Look at me for instance. I bought a bike during summer for 4K. Put another 2K into it. Now I'm laid off for the winter and pretty much broke. :banghead:With this economy you never know how long a job...
ROFLI do not own a DSM. I own a garbage ass car and an 01 GSXR which I currently race with.I'm unemployed because my construction job is a seasonal job. Spring-Fall. I am laid off during winters. No need to look for a new job.You can say I'm milking the system all you want but for 9...
I would just like to let everyone know that because I'm currently laid off and collecting unemployment, that I'm eating a Jack's frozen pizza. With ranch might I add.Thank you for paying your taxes ROFL
Okay thanks for the info guys, I'll have to look into the site and see whats all going on. By the looks of it its going to have to be an GSR.I'd rather have ABS, I'm getting a NEW car for a reason lol.I wouldn't mind an RS but at the moment I need a daily driver/sporty car not a full out...
Hello guys.So after winter I'm looking at buying a new car. My current car (95 OLDS) is starting to get a little tired (210 K).I'm interested in possibly taking out a loan on an older Evo 8. Probably like a 2005.I believe there are three different types? An MR, GSR?? And one...
Why would dude drop it down a grand because of a small hole in the IC? That doesn't make sense, especially when it can be fixed cheaply.Looks like a good car, clean on the outside. Your right about the wing and tach :barf:The bay has wires running all over the effin place. WTFSeems like...
Just because you never needed a fpr doesn't mean the other infinite amount of people on this website don't either.Stick with the 190 for now, you'll be happy with just having a turbo car for awhile. Later on you can always resell the 190 and move up if needed.
Not to be a dick but are you the one paying for the server space? If he wants to make a pointless thread let him, if its that pointless it will be delted, if not it will just sink into the back pages. There's nothing wrong with a little laugh about someone photoshopping a picture.
Whats your fuel pressure? Depending on the pressure, well atleast I do this, cause I don't care about getting gas around but I just crack the nut and hold a bucket there to let it spray into. Its alot faster then dicking around with a relay in my opinion but I'm just lazy.
Woah, a ls1 powered first gen, that'd be ridiculous.I vote go for it, but like the other guys said, its not going to be cheap, your going to run into a lot of little snags I can guarantee it.
I don't believe there could be a real accurate chart because although airflow determines power, there are so many other equations that go into this. What type of mods along with airflow determine power, so unless you were running the same exact mods as someone else a chart won't really help you...
+1Ball and Spring works great. The guy on the NXS website that I gave you, gives a 10 dollar discount to all DSM Owners also, so basically your paying 10 bucks for a proven MBC.Its also free first class shipping, you get it in like 3 days. What a deal right?IMO get rid of the Turbo...
I say toss it and get a MBC from welcome to NXS Motorsports | NXS MotorsportsMy buddy has run this one and even though its cheap it works good. Holds boost rock solid. With what you said about the turbo XS I wouldn't trust it personally. There may be something wrong with it, who knows.
Well why would you want to spend more money changing things around when you could find a t25 for now? Think about it, you get a new manifold and downpipe now, even for a decent price, if you want to change later you just wasted your money you know?My vote is find a used t25. Its small but it...
Nice car man, any mods done to it?Good call on trading the rb20, For the hesitation I would say check for boost leaks and deff plugs, you never know how old they could be. Although it seems as if the previous owner kept the car in pretty good condition, 2 grand on tranny stuff, pheww
Personally as much as I like the look of a 3000gt Vr4, there just seems to be no room at all to work on anything in there. That motor is just CRAMMED in there. 4g63's on the other hand, such a breeze.I agree on that being part of the reason of them blowing as well.
Don't bother trying to find an Ebay 16g if your going to be rebuilding in 4 months. Hell with Ebay its a 50/50 chance. My vote is to get another rebuilt t25 and slap that on there, I'm sure you could get a junkyard one with little or no shaft play for cheap. Or even try to find someone selling...
Find a gsx with a blown motor or something for cheap as hell and get a few buddies who know what they are doing (This shouldn't be that hard?!?) and swap the motors. At the most it would take you a few days, or you could spend a solid night doing it, also take the built tranny with you to your...
So go buy a gsx, swap the motor out of your gst into the gsx and then put the motor from the gsx into your gst and re-sell it to a 16 year old kid for an outrageous price. Then spend the money on more mods.Simpleee
Uploaded with ImageShack.usThat's pretty close.Clean car for the most part on the outside by the looks of it and it looks like you don't have too many problems, for 700 bucks not bad at all. What mods are all done? I'm kinda lazy to keep clicking around to check.
