That defiantly sounds like a boost leak, a major boost leak. Do the blt and I am pretty certain you will find your issue. Good luck. Hope this helps. You also should look onto getting an afpr, with running that wally 255 on a stock fpr and stock injectors your bound to have a problem from...
It sounds like you don't have a good connection to the terminals. Try to move the power wire to a slightly different spot on the terminal, I had this problem for a bit, pour coke over the end of the wires that's exposed along with the connector piece.
What you need my man is a wide board, that's what I ride, I have a size 13 boot, I have to ride a 156 W, its width is 26.5, I never have a problem with toe drag. Snowboarding is waaaaaaaayyyyy better hands down. Plus you don't have to carry around those goofy poles. The snowboarder vs. skier...
It does it between 2300 and 2800 rpms...I really am kind of confused, I don't have another fpr, or I would try to swap that out. All my injectors seem pushed in and fine, if it was the injector though wouldn't it happen more than just 1 time a drive?I thought it was a fuel problem myself but...
I would agree with you but it doesn't happen in boost, in boost the car runs great. And I am running ngk bpr7es gapped at .30, I went a step hotter because of the 16g, 560s, and the evo pump. I am thinking it is just something clogging up in the fuel system for a second.Mods are in profile...
I wasn't sure where to put this because I am not sure of my problem, so it doesn't fall under any specific tech forum. Sorry if it is in the wrong spot. Anyway, my problem is, I'll be driving down the road boosting fine and running good, then randomly will just feel like i hit a brick wall. I...
I would definitely be down for that man, glad to see another 1g around the area. Send me a pm if you want we can try to get a couple guys together for something.
Make sure all of your tranny bolts are tight. I had this issue for a while and it was actually the backside bolt (the one closest to the firewall) that wasn't holding it in correctly. Also did you get an oem slave or was it a parts store aftermarket one? My buddy had the same problem, got one...
hey guys, I have a quick question, would a 1990 fwd 5 spd tranny fit a 1993 fwd? I am just wondering if the splines are different or not. I did search but couldnt find anything specifically answering this question. Thanks.
I stumbled across one of the best deals I ever got. I bought a set a all but brand new kyb agx adjustable struts with eibach sportlines and a set of brembo drilled and slotted rotors for a 150 bucks and put them on today :D.
I really don't understand this. My car was driving fine, I came from a stop light, shifted through all the gears driving normally then I came to the next light and it wouldn't go in any gear. It will physically go in gear but it won't go anywhere. It doesn't grind or anything, it just won't...
Yes, I rev match quite often and I have on a few vehicles now. It does not hurt anything as long as you do it right, because our cars have synchronized gears that makes it possible and not harmful to the drivetrain system.
Here in harrisburg, I see a few 2gs running around with some stuff done but i dont see any other 1gs with a big ol' front mount :D. Anyone around me get in touch, ie send me a pm so we can meet up sometime. Always like meeting some more people into their dsm, i feel all alone out here lol.
Starter is my guess, make sure the two 14 mm bolts are tight that hold it on, mine backed out a little and I had the same problem. I tightened them up and it was fine.
If your really worried about grab a bottle of dry gas, that's the best stuff I've used and a few mechanics I know that have been doing it for atleast 20 years swear by it, its about 4 bucks at your local parts store. You should be alright though without it, but on the end its your car and you do...
First check you coolant level, then i would make sure you dont have any visible holes in your rad and that your fans are cycling correctly, if your fans arnt cycling correctly just put a constant power to them and see if that helps your problem. If those dont do it I would start with your...
is it a brand new turbo? if so it could be all the stuff on the inside of it burning off, like the glossy stuff, mine smoked a whole bunch, i mean like a lot to the point i thought something was wrong and i checked over everything like 10 times and nothing was leaking, i drove it for around 2...
I had the same problem with mine, you probably need a new fork, the ball actually makes the hole in the fork deeper which is why if you shim it it will work for a while but once that wears in its to far gone to shim then you just need a new fork. I put a new fork and ball in and its been great...
Ok so I just put two new gasket on my manifold, the one at the motor and the one at the turbo. I don't see my mbc being bad, its a ball and spring, how can that go bad? So of this doesn't work could it be the exhaust? I just am really getting tired of fighting this damn thing.i just got back...
It seems that you have a bad connection on your battery, the fast clicking noise is what made me think that plus your radio cutting in and out. Try to take off your connectors and clean them up along with cleaning the terminals themselves, baking soda and water work the best, coke will do the...
Hey guys, so this has been an ongoing problem for me. I had the same problem on my 14b but I could atleast get about 12 out of it. I installed a new big 16g Mitsubishi turbo. I don't think I have 2 bad wastegates in a row, plus I am able to run wastegate pressure on this one but I did a blt and...
As stated above, do all the maintenance, everything, if you don't know when it was done or it looks old replace it. Then you will have a good platform to start with, wheel wise I've always liked the Evo viii wheels on our cars but that's just me. Oh yeah I almost forgot welcome to the dsm...
It runs off my wastegate comes into the mbc then goes out to the nipple off my jpipe I put in, the side with the pin hole on the mbc is on the wastegate side.
Hey guys, I put on my new ported 16g and for some reason I can not boost it over 8 psi, I did a blt with no leaks, checked out my wastegate and everything ous good, I'm kind of stumped. Any input would be great. Thanks guys.
Hey guys, I had a quick question, I just put my new 16g on and I was wondering if there is supposed to be a gasket on the turbo side of the oil return line or is it just supposed to be metal on metal? Thanks guys.
I had the exact same problem a month ago, ended up being the shift for was worn to far, you can shin the pivot ball with 3/8" washes, I threw two behind it as a temporary fix until I got my new one, it worked fine after that. If its too worn it won't push the throw out bearing far enough into...
Hey guys, so I want sure if I should put this in this forum but it is dealing with my turbo so here it is. I am in need of the main o-ring for my 14b, I caller my two local Mitsubishi dealers and both told me the same thing, I can't buy just the o-ring...I am now screwed because I have no where...
Well I just had that problem along with down shifting into second the same thing would happen, two weeks after it got really bad my clutch blew out a spring, not saying for sure that's what's wrong but now with my new clutch everything is back to normal, just a past experience man...good luck bro
Thanks a lot man, I never even thought about the flex section on the exhaust and I have heard of that and I just never even thought of that. I will defiantly check that in the am, thanks again.
Ok I searched first so don't tell me to search lol, anyway I have a problem with building boost, I can get to 13 that's it though, I have no boost leaks, my mbc is hooked up right, I was curious if the maf translator has anything to do with it, I am stumped, this isn't my first go with any kind...
I had a similar problem, I just wired mine to the relay, I pulled the relay, found the prong that had switch power and ran the ground to a bolt on the body of the engine bay and that was it, I hope this helps man. Good luck.
That's what I thought was possible, even though it feels like its running way to good to have one but I checked it out anyway and it seems fineIs this normal to have on a mbc? I have a little pin hole in the one nipple on the mbc itself, its a slow boy racing mbc...Is there any other way to...
Hey guys what's up? Ok here's my problem, I can't seem to build anymore boost than 12 psi and I can't figure out why? Everything seems to be fine, its all hooked up right, my mbc has all new vac lines and same with my gauge, I'm kind of stumped, all I want is to run 16 lbs but I can't, any...
As many stated before me, keep up with maintenance and you will be fine, do as much research as possible when it comes to buying parts, find out whose running what and why, buy good reliable parts and do your nods in order, there is a basic guideline of nodding on this site, it breaks it down...
Thanks guys, I did just that, shimmed the fulcrom ball and all is well, its a little tough to shift here and there but I just figure it will be for a few weeks. Again thank you everyone for your input and tips. Have a good one fellas.
