Hey was recommended by Justin to post the picture of my oil feed on my H1C. It looks to be a recessed 5/8th inverted Flare fitting. Anyone else see something like this before? I have the drain setup now I'm just working on the feed portion of it, trying to figure out what adapters I need.
I would not worry about the drive as stated above just keep the boost low and start saving. I'd buy a walboro 255, rewire kit, either v3 lite or a 98/99 ecu and use ecuflash , lm-1 or lc-1, and injectors. Shop around and get alot of these used. After that you will have a pretty fun(reliable) setup.
I would go with the Mitsu MLS for sure. it's been proven over and over and would be worth the little bit more even if just for reassurance. Do it right/proven the first time. Slap in some arp's and never worry. Also I will be ordering some new cams in a few months and I heard that delta has...
The 90-94's were 1g's and teh 95-99's were 2g's. The tank for the washer sprayer is located below the spare tire. The fill port is under the hatch. When you lift the hatch you will see the cap on the drivers side. I would fill it to see if the light goes away, then take the car to autozone to...
Ah, you have your terms mixed up. You take the valve cover off to check for the dreaded cam-walk. Normally indicated by a rapid ticking. :notgood: Anyway crankwalk is when the soles come off the crank and it gets crank-itis. You just need to put some naproxen sodium in the oil.
The ticking could just be lifters, fairly common. I'd take someone who's familiar with these cars to go with you to check it out. But that'd be a pretty good deal.
Hey, I have most of my emissions laying around if you were trying to just get rid of the cel until dsmlink. I may also have a spare coil pack and other misc stuff I could ship out to get this figured out.
I encourtered the same stripped threads, fixed it wtih my first helicoil install ever, was perfect since. It was stupid easy and like $10 for the helicoil kit.
Guys, I know everyone has an opinion of slowboy, even people who haven't ordered from them, but this right here is customer service. Also I found a 1g in the junkyard I can pull the drain line and maybe even the coolant lines if you need it.
Well, just thought i'd throw in a little update. The builder took the block out only to find the bearings/crank mangled from the prior owner trying to build it. :f-u: Well he found a 6bolt o-ringed, machines & bored .20 over. So next week the block gets the eagle crank/manley rods/and ross...
I was just looking for a thread about this. I just had all my interior out to redo it so I just layed dynamat around the floor, doors, trunk, roof. I have a polk audio component speakers/tweeters for the front, pioneer deck, and a kenwood 1kwatt mono for the sub. Looking for recommendations for...
For what you need why not just v3lite? ECMTuning, Inc.
You already have an eprom, just swing $345. it'll do everything you need it to for now and just upgrade later, if you even needed to.
+1 Was running all seasons with like 80% tread on the wrx this winter, going perfectly straight on I-97 car randomly rotated sliding me sideways and off into a guardrail.
Thanks justin, When I saw it for sale the picture was showing 7 blades and was told minimal shaft play, "might not need a rebuild". Unfortunately when I got it home and took it apart I see that someone just slapped a 7 blade wheel on an 8 blade blackplate and that it needed a rebuild. :notgood...
Thanks everyone,
Looking into this more I found this thread which someone posted and included images illustrating how to make the adjustments from the FSM. I'll be trying it this week. Here it is if anyone else needed it...
Yeah, Mine was leaking signifigantly into the door. With the panels off though as i'm doing everything, it appears it was splashing in and pooling up on the floor.
Hey guys I was searching on here but I was having trouble looking on how to fix the window leak that i'm having. I found out I was leaking after I gutted the interior to sound deaden and put in new carpet. Water started to pool in the location of the drivers seat. After checking all the drains I...
Thanks justin, I guess those will be our realistic goals with this turbo then. It would be good to know that everything is build built to support 9's at some point soon and just have the holset as the bottleneck for now.
Alright, was just updating saying that we received the fp3x's in the mail the other day as well as the hx35 rebuild kit. Man those cams are awesome looking. Still waiting on the methanol kit. We're probably going to go with the 255 rewired for the break-in and initial tuning. We'll see how far...
Nice log, Did you happen to get that leak fixed? I would love to see a log after you put in some bigger injectors and boost over 25. I really like it though, seems we may be going in a good direction. Thanks man, I know this turbo won't get us there, we're open to suggestions but I would...
Thanks, we've been told the bosch 044 in tank might be able to get us there. We were trying to do some research to see if another 255 inline would net the same results. Also he has a snow performance stage 2 methanol injection system.
I was helping my friend(ob1murry) with his new 93 TSI AWD. He initially bought the car as a weekend warrior project car, only to find out that the head gasket was blown, timing was off, 390cc injectors, as well as a MISSING HEAD STUD! :notgood: . Since we were going to have to pull it anyway we...
I had the same problem but turned out my power transistor wasn't grounding properly to the intake manifold. Are you 100% sure that the one you tried it with was fine? If not I would definitely try this http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-electrical-wiring/229419-how-test-power-transistors.html
I don't know about the ecu or the tps, but my speedo gauge did the exact same thing. When you drive does the trip counter increase? If so the vss is fine and the gauge itself is dead(happened to me). If the trip counter does not increase I would learn towards the vss.
Common leaky caps. You want to clean it quickly before the electrolytes screw up the traces. Personally I would send it to ECMTuning and they will go over it, clean it and socket it for cheap for future tuning. Provided they find that the ECU is still fine.
