If you are broke and want black couplers...buy diesel radiator hose. I've used this on a few projects and have actually gone to the parts store to get a car back on the track before, works like a charm, won't swell, and is cheap as hell. It'll make you wanna slap yo mama.- Jon
You absolutely could. Stock internals are extremely strong, I can't think of a single turbo that could surpass the limits of the stock engine's rods and pistons at 15psi, lol.- Jon
You aren't asking for a part number for a new one, are you? There are several identifiers for the ecu's, and several sites that show you which is which. You just need a 91-94 Turbo computer. If you are considering adding ecmlink, etc in the future, I'd also look for an eprom ecu. Give me a few...
At this point, don't chance it. I'd go OE all the way with the slave/master. Don't spend the money three times. Definitely sounds like a hydraulic issue, and I imagine after the next round of repairs that you'll be trouble free. Hey, at least you aren't dropping the trans again!- Jon
That would be a huge turbine housing for a 14b, lol. I'd say with the compressor housing off you could measure the diameter of the compressor wheel and it would be relatively easy to match your findings to what MHI compressor wheel you have. Have you verified the serial number on the compressor...
I don't know of any problems, many guys delete oil squirters for one reason or another. There have been guys making HUGE power on hyundai blocks with no squirters for quite some time; on a sensibly tuned car it's not something that i'd shy away from. Pick it up.- Jon
