    FP TD05H 8cm Turbine Housing

I bought my Evo III 16G used and the wastegate was heavily ported and the divider between the turbine outlet and wastegate outlet were cut out. Because of this, I was having trouble getting the turbo to hold boost at high RPM's. I am building a 2.3 stroker as we speak and I plan to upgrade the...

Does anyone know where I can find a Forced Performance TD05H 8cm Turbine Housing? I contacted FP and they said that they do not have any in stock and they do not plan to make more any time soon. Thanks!

    Crank to flywheel dowel pin

Thanks guys. I definitely want to run one, the only problem is that my car is at my buddy's house and I don't want to leave it there all week while I wait to get the dowel pin. It doesn't help that extremepsi is closed tomorrow and Tuesday, or I would run up there a get one. Hopefully the...

    Crank to flywheel dowel pin

I have read some threads on here saying that 2G's never had a dowel pin on the crank to align the flywheel. I am in the middle of a clutch job on my 99 GSX, and it did not have the dowel pin in it. However, the previous owner had replaced the clutch, so he may have lost it when he replaced the...

I've been talking with Tony from turbo4.com and we are trying to figure out where to go with the motor, but I will be dropping off the block to them soon. Here are what I've gotten recently:3speed scatter shield:AEM Series 2 EMS w/ 3.5 bar MAP and AIT:I definitely need...

    Lifter tick or something more...?

I think I have the same problem as well, but on the 4g63. I was just assuming that maybe the lifters were louder on start up because I put in higher lift cams.

Lean at idle, rich at WOT, knock from 2k to 3k RPMs. Please help!

In ecuflash you can adjust the knock sensitivity at certain rpm's and loads, so I can get rid of it that way if I want. It is knocking while it is still in closed loop. I am still replacing one possibly problematic sensor at a time to try to get to the bottom of this before I start messing...

Project "Go as fast as I can on a budget"

Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t been posting any updates. The main reason for no updates is that there wasn't really anything to update. I am finally getting going with this project. I will be taking a new approach to the buildBeing cheap wasn't really getting me anywhere and I don't want to...

    Compound Turbo Setup Holset style

Yeah, I saw you said that in a different thread. I have a standard 4" vband for mine, but I just found these online: V-Band Clamps & Sealing Flanges It looks like they will match up to that 4.7 inch OD on the turbo flange.

Project Superman: '90 Talon - building my first drag race car

I'm with you on that. I went with 9:1 on my drag motor even though I'm planning to go with E98. I'd rather just run more boost, especially for a track only car.

Lean at idle, rich at WOT, knock from 2k to 3k RPMs. Please help!

Me and my friend installed FP 1x cams, evo 8 beehives, revised lifters, and all of the timing belt stuff a few months ago on my 99 GSX with 60,000 miles on it. The car ran ok, but it had a little rough of an idle. I assumed it was just because of the cams and needing a new tune. The car sat...

Project "Go as fast as I can on a budget"

The owner of the car before him, Casey Barrett had the cage done. It was certified to 8.50's. He made 750 whp on the car and 140 mph passes before he parted it out. Sean didn't really do much to the car except put dents in it and cut up the bumpers. I'm starting my paid internship next week...

Glad I didn't buy the motor too. I bought the shell, but didn't have money for the motor at the time. Why are you finding this out about the motor a year later? Did it take that long to get to you or did you just not have the time to take it apart?

Went to JNZ the other day and they took apart my transmission. To my surprise, it already had a 4-spider center diff. It did have some damage to 3rd and 4th, which will be replaced, along with most of the other stock components. It will also be getting some upgrades like Magnus shift forks.

    hd 10:5:1 compression pistons

Where are you getting your info from? Higher compression greatly improves the efficiency of an engine, turbo or not. Above 15:1 compression is where the added friction of high compression negates the benefits of it. Also, it states in the title of these pistons("E85 series") that they are...
