Rock a 2g maf if the only thing you dislike is the 1g maf. If you want NO maf,then go speed density.

If there is a tube going from the bov back into the intake then its resirculated. A gm maf would require a maft as well,you don't need that though. Resirculate the bov if it isn't,and do all mainenance.

It is possible to put a 2g intake,but you need an sfac to adjust your fuel. If you just slap it on you will run lean. You also need the 1g to 2g adapter wire,or you can make one. They do have intake pipes for the 1g but yeah you are better off with a 2g intake,maf,and the 2g to 1g adapter. But...
