Is you're car stock? I looked at you profile and I didn't see any mods. So you're car is stock right? If so I would be getting a boost gauge and a wideband first. Make sure you're maintenance is up to date. Get a manual boost controller with the wideband and the boost gauge. Look on the forums...

On my car the fuel pump was going out, it was at the same rpm also. I watched my narrowband and saw I went super lean when it lost power.

Be different, buy a VR4 Galant. You don't see them every day.

Keep a look out for stock GSTs, TSIs and GSXs, keep mataince up and the car will treat you good, mod slowly and keep using this site for any info and upgrade paths. Don't be cheep with these cars because they will bite you back. This is a great site with all the answers you need.
