2G, I had it balck on the screen, and it didn't look good, I though it added some depth to the design, and the Mitsu logo is red, so I concept, it worked.GreenDSM.... Are you interested in something for your DSM?
2G, black? The mitsu symbol is red, why would you go black.jusmx... Thanks, but these come off quite easily. On another note, the graphics on the sides keep your eyes off of how bad the paint had faded down the sides. These are just temporary, as this will get a full body wrap once it gets...
Thanks for all of your opinions. I like it, and have sold 3 sets of this EXACT decal set to other DSM's in the KC area. I'm not saying anything except that I guess they look way better in person than they do in the picture. I'll try to get better pics, but I wanted an opinion on the concept...
OK, first off, you CAN NOT drill out an easy out. However, there is a way to get it out without drilling it out. Take a good center punch, line it up in the center of the easy out..... Smack it good and hard. A center punch will shatter the easy out. Then, you just need to blow out the hole...
How about snapping a pic for us, so we can better help you out. I'm not sure this is enough information for anyone to be of much help. Year and Model may help more too.
UPDATE on this header that I purchased from Ebay...I now have about 2,000 miles on this engine, and Stainless header that I purchased.I couldn't be happier, it still looks like the pic I posted above, and has no signs of anything being wrong with my $100 header purchase.
You have a PM. I own Redline Graphics, and I can duplicate these decals for you. Once you figure out which you are needing and what size, I'll cut it for you.
I'm not sure if the 1G and 2G are the same here, as my experience is with the 1G.I removed the antenna, to fill in the hole in the spoiler. I'll post pics once I get them back tomorrow from paint. Then, take the coax cable, and cut the end off. All you need is the center portion of it.
Run...
I understand what you are saying on that. It has grown on me A LOT since I installed it. I didn't want to do it smaller, cause I wanted it to make a Statement. Good thing that I own a graphics business, I can change it whenever I decide I don't like it anymore.BTW, I can cut, mask, and ship...
So, I decided to see what some custom graphics would look like on my Eclipse. This is what I whipped up, and I think it looks pretty good.I own Redline Graphics, and produced this out of my shop, and installed it in my driveway one afternoon.Tell me what you think!!!!Thanks...
I don't see ANYTHING thin on this. The flange that meets with the head is 1/2", and all the rest are 3/8" stainless. I'll keep posting on this, but I'm pretty sure it's NOT chrome. Looks like stainless to me. I wish I had taken pics of the inside. I would of been happy paying $300-400 for...
Here is a pic of my set-up after only 150 miles, however, you can see that this is a quality header AND the intake is awesome. It relocates the MAF inside the 2pc cone filter.
I got this car 5 weeks ago. One week for tear down and make a list of what was needed. Then I waited 3 weeks to get the engine back from the machine shop. Then a week to assemble and get it running.
Thanks. I will post more pics once my Cosmo Racing short ram air system is installed. Looks like $hit with the stock rubber intake tube and air cleaner box.As for a turbo... Nah. I'm going another route with this one!
If you are looking for a nice NT CAI, check out Street Tuning, BMW Performance Parts, HONDA Performance Parts, Auto Parts - COSMO Racing Online. They have a sweet set-up that I just purchased. Sorry about directing to a place that is NOT a board supporter, but they have the sweetest CAI for a...
OK, I hesitated to state, but in fact in my box was a Megan Racing Sticker. I didn't want to sway anyone's judgement one way or another. I have 50 miles on my new build. The header has started to "blue". It is a high quality header, and I am super happy with it. I'll keep you all posted on...
Rod bolt stretch is definitely the MOST accurate, followed by angle torquing, then by click click. The worse part is that a bolt stretch gauge is super expensive for a weekend wrench spinner.
Here she is, dropped in. Two more hours of work, and she'll be ready to fire and drive! It runs now!!!! Cranked and fired first twist of the key. Need to finish up the exhaust, and throw the axles in it and off I go!!
There is a quicker way to clean stuff like this. You need 3 things. 1) 12oz can of Coke Cola 2) Baseball size ball of aluminum foil 3) a whole can of elbow grease.Works awesome!
I'm going to leave the plug cover on for now, I like the way it looks better than without it there. Once I get it running, I will be swapping over to a coil on plug set-up that I have built for it.
Can you post a pic for us to see? I can't see how this can turn ugly. I can see that it could "blue" because it's stainless steel, but I'm not sure why it would get ugly. Seems to be a great looking piece for now. Did you get yours from SureWinProducts too? This is a name brand piece, sold...
I wanted to share with everyone the recent SCORE that I got off of Ebay. I have a cracked exhaust manifold and wanted to upgrade to a header. I hesitantly purchased the 4-2-1 Stainless Steel header from SureWinProducts. eBay...
The hardest part was removing all of that old powdercoating without access to a bead blast cabinet. I used brake clean and a brass wire brush to prep the surface, then I painted it hanging from my garage door last night.
I would get a good quality Redline or Royal Purple assembly lube. However, any good quality lube should hold up for long periods of time. I would install the engine, and pull the ECM fuse, crank it a bit to build up oil pressure before the initial shart. Put the ECM fuse back and fire it up...
So, here is the finished product! There was one small dimple in the valve cover that appeared under one of the letters. I should of filled it with filler before I painted it, but now it's too late. I know it's not perfect, but It looks sick in person. In the pic, with the flash hitting it...
A frined of mine was doing a BS Elim on the cheap. He took two properly sized freeze plugs, put them face to face [] NOT ][. Then he drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the center. He then siliconed all the way around it, put them in [], then bolted them together, pulling them into the hole. It...
The limit of "TOO BIG" has very little to do with the amount of air that your turbo will flow. It has more to do with keeping charge velocity UP and increasing efficiency. Just cause a port is BIG does not mean that it is efficient! I understand what you said, I just think you went about...
I'm right there with you guys also. I will be getting my block back in the morning, and planning to put it together this week. However, my build is slightly milder. I'm going the 2.0, forged 10.5:1 pistons, and NOS route. I know that it is not the normal route that most people take, but I...
I picked up a really clean 1GB. Broke t-belt. I pulled the valve cover off, and 5 of the head bolts have been helicoiled.I would never do this myself, but it has been done already. My main question is can this block be used? I'm thinking about fixing all of the messed up holes, make sure...
This is a good reason to switch to an adjustable gearset, and invest in a degree wheel. Seting the cams up properly will make a difference in how the car will ultimately perform.
If it were smashing valves, you would know it. What weight oil did you put in it? Sometimes a slightly thinner oil will allow the lifters to "pump up" faster than a thicker oil.
If the factory calls for a 10w30, then run a 10w30. They don't say if you live in florida run xxWxx, and if you live in Alaska run xxWxx.These two weights are viscosity ratings. 10w30 for example has a viscosity rating of 30 when COLD and 10 when WARM. 30 is thicker than 10.These...
I would say alternator. There is a quick and eas way to check this. Start the car, and remove the negative battery cable. If the car dies, then it's the alternator. If it continues to run, it's something else.
I agree with 604, excpet I'm going to take it one step further. Here is the product that you want!!!! Amazon.com: SEM Sand Free Adhesion Promoter: AutomotiveI used this on a pair of tan bucket seats in my 81 Camaro (I know, it was before I knew what an Import was, and long before the DSMs...
You can blow air through them, but whatever is in there (if there is anything) will be blown back into the oil galley. I would say remove them, and clean them out with appropriate cleaner. Break Clean would do the job well!
That's a sick powder coating. Looks like two differet V/C with the light hitting it at two different angles. I'm going to have mine painted to match the body color of my 1GB. Also, I started with a hard green #80 disc on an angle air grinder to take off 90% of the material. Then I went to a...
I would NEVER replace a boot. Shafts are so cheap right now, there is no reason to skimp on replacing JUST a boot. By the time you realize the boot is split, it has already purged most of the grease out of it, and the joint will fail. You can replace the shaft with much less work than replace...
Ya, it's a little late to change my mind. I just hope it all loks OK when I'm done. I will be doing a custom wraped spark plug cover. That's what will make it all tie together.
I will be hitting it with a bigger pad and a finer grit. This will remove all the waves.I will be bead blasting it, and sending it off for powder coating. No polished aluminum for me!
I am working on rebuilding a NT 94 Eclipse that I just recently picked up. While I wait for my block to come back from the machine shop, I'm pulling my hair out finding something to do. SO, I whip out the right angle grinder and a few pads and get to work. Let me know what you guys think...
I ran studs on my turbocharged chevy. I currently have a NT DSM, so there is no need for studs here. If I were to build a turbo DSM, I would install head studs on that.
If he gasket is a MLS (multi layered steel) it is possible to reuse it. If it is a carbon/steel gasket, GET A NEW ONE. I couldn't imagine reusing a gasket as crucial as a head gasket, however some guys do it.
