if you take DSM_PWR s pic and do a polor opposit and added nifty little home made oil catch can and over flow tank out of aluminum water bottles. that would be what mine looked like.

check into a rebuild kit and also do a lil searching around on here ### i remember reading a thread about a "shift box" where you could select what gear aka shift gears when ## car is driving...(cant remember if it was dsm forums or rs25 sorry).lsd for sure.

id do a rear sway bar then look into drag/street coil overs...i would still to the shifter upgrades...
how do you want to make ## power? n/a or turbo ?....... should get some sort of tb spacer and a intake mani spacer if staying n/a
also look into cams, valve work... lightin up ##...
i would say kyb agx with springs or new sway bars or both for the handeling aspect.maybe a short shift & brass shift bushingswhat do you want to do with the car?
check head gasket, oil filter housing, and make sure ## dip stick itsnt poping out bc of the presure in the case... i did that to my car and those were the things wrong with it after

i looked for 4 hrs. in one sitting... the next day i had my tsi turbo awd(gsx) for $4350...... just so you know, Craigs List is the place to look... news papers are hit or miss... auto trader and like sites are usualy not so good to find a dsm. also here is a GREAT place to find a dsm lol...

tricks... leave it stock... tips... sell sell sell... lol j/k. there a headache but totaly worth it. i would say intake and exhaust fo sho! then just read the forum and start building... there is a cool section on here that gives you a upgeade path for what your building the car for.
so my car wont start on its own... it just clicks franticly and thats it...
my radio wont power on(no matter what) and if i jump it it will start but if i un hook the cables then shut it off and start it again it wont start. the alarm still beeps and the seatbelts still move, all the lights on...
it flashed the 1.7 on the knock side of the scanner when the car was shut off. the turbo timer kept the car on and the 1.7 went away then the car shut off totaly and the 1.7 flashed back as it shut down but the scannmaster shows it every time its first turnning on and when it shuts off now...

i was driving my car for about 2 hrs and raced 2 cars. on the way home the car wouldnt go into boost.it would build up to about 3000 RPMs then start popping hard and jerking even harder... the temp wasnt higher than normal but for some reason the plug wires are hot as hell.i think it is...

just seeing how much i could get for my car.it is a total loss because i got ran off the road and hit a wall... the car was valued at 2300 and the damages were mostly cosmetic but added up to 4800 i got it back and fixed it. it runs still and got an upgrade to the suspention kyb agxs...

i read that "G54b" refers to the fact that its a 2.6L because there is a 2.4L 4g64 with another G##b. ive been reading up on the motor but could not find out it the mighty max and the conquest had identical motors+/- a turbo

a comment about the O2 housing Dumped to atmosphere you only hear that really loud exh leak sound when your waist gate is open. other wise its not bad... people with small turbos or low boost have the bad experiance but with high boost or big turbo like the one u want will be all good
if u check out my profile you can see what all i have on my tsi awd and im at 314.9 hp with a totaly stock motor and upgraded fuel delivery, 16g fmic,3 in exhause... etc... so its not hard just need a good tune and a little fath... + with say a 2.3 and head work with my set up now im sure 400...

well 1st off welcome... these cars are fun and easy to work on(thank god because they are broken more than not lmao...) all i can say is reay and search... i got my 1st dsm in july and i must say there is too much to know for one person so focus on your mod path and whats wrong with your car...
90% chance it is the censor that controls your idle... its on your TB my friends 90 gvr4 was doing that for a while and that is what it was.i would try getting the new isc asap. if it is whats bad your guna be doing that idle hop in the 3000`s.
ya id say 350-400 is realistic # im at 315 with no head work what so ever and i got a 16g. i hear the 20g is good but a lil laggy. IMO the 16g is great!
