I had an amazing blue car in 2003.
I romped on that thing like every red light and stop sign was a Christmas tree counting down. I'd dump 7k launches until I broke axles. I was not nice to that car, but it never flinched.
It surfaces every once in a while, and I'm tempted to buy it back. One...
I used WD40 but I usually only have to let them sit a month, tops.
I also cover them in a garbage bag. You don't get the "oohh, ahh" effect of seeing the engine but they work and come with draw strings.
I made a solid aluminum plug for mine, and even then I covered it with RTV.
If I'm not mistaken there's actually a strap clamp kit for the plugs.--Steve
I'm having trouble attaching a picture but I made a few more if these if anyone is interested.
I might have better luck posting when I get home to a desktop PC.
Same design, only now I break the edges, the sleeve is stainless, and include stainless steel hardware. Same low price as almost a...
The regulator limits the pressure of the fuel. If you have a stock setup it'll be a half dollar around, about a half inch thick UFO looking thing with a vacuum line going to it.
If it wasn't stored properly it could be any number of problems. I've even seen acorns inside a timing belt cover that...
Hey, everyone.I'm back. Some of the old timers would remember me. I was the dude who made some of the one off parts for Mark Bullett, like his front motor mount, the ITB setup, and the Dennis Grant spec suspension plates. I also did his double fuel pump assembly for his turbo car and I did one...
2009 was a good year. Here we are almost 10 years later and I still get PM's about these motor mounts.WELL!
Good news for you people. I finally bought my own CNC machine and I'm willing to make these again if there's enough interest. I hadn't touched my red 90 in a while and ended up buying a...
I know the feeling. I don't trust anyone to do anything. I had to bring my car for an alignment because I don't have laser beams and what not. I know the retards at Town Fair would cry about frozen suspension as my car was a 90 so I broke all the bolts, wire brushed, antisiezed them and guessed...
If you do a leakdown test with the rad. cap off, and if it's a head gasket, you will see bubbles from the esacaping air.
I dare say it is almost impossible for a turbo to leak water internally. If you installed it recently did you recycle your crush washers or use new ones?--Steve
My girlfriend had an auto GS.
We did a crank pulley, cold air intake, didn't have time to put the Pacesetter or exhaust on so we just unbolted it at the downpipe, Accel coil and fancy blue spark plug wires on a 20k mile rebuild.
Even with Bullett driving the car it only managed a 17.7
With...
While I have made a few motor mounts for Bullett I have not yet tested any on a turbo 420a. I made my first one for my 1g because the first coupler off the compressor housing was resting on the forward roll stop mount and I was worried about the coupler slamming up and down on it. It's worked...
