Hey man,Ya I've had it back for a few weeks now. It ended up being a faulty MAP sensor. It's running great now. :) Just bummed about the truck driver scratching the crap out of my rims that were in perfect condition. Oh well, I'll probably pick up the black versions for "show" and have...
I didn't even think about coming to the forums to look for a transport company. Yet another mistake by me. :) Lucas at English Racing felt bad about the situation and said he'd come get the car himself if their was ever a 'next time'. Hopefully not...
Ya live and learn. I just don't want others making the same mistake. The worse of it is, English Racing couldn't find anything wrong with my car. It did have a cracked valve cover but wouldn't be the issue to my problem. Lucas had learned some more Speed Density techniques for handling...
Double Post - meant for this forum vs Portland Area only:I just wanted to give my feedback to my fellow DSM owners just in case you decide to use a transport company to move your car. And also give some pointers so you don't make the same mistake I made. I'll keep this has short as...
I just wanted to give my feedback to my fellow DSM owners just in case you decide to use a transport company to move your car. And also give some pointers so you don't make the same mistake I made. I'll keep this has short as possible. :)My car started running poorly so decided I wanted to...
How was the turn out? I wanted to go but my car is at English Racing. It's started running like shit so they're on it literally right now trying to find the problem. Hopefully it won't cost me much so I can get my carbon fiber hood.Side note: My wheels were in PERFECT condition and the...
Haha...Dazed and Confused. "That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age." I guess in this case...college girls. It seems women right around 19-22 year oldsthey just love the car and seem to go out of their way to let me know that. I'm 31...
I'm not sure man. I'll let you know later on in the week. It'll probably be a last minute thing for me. I also really don't want to go if the weather is crappy like it's been the past couple days. I might be doing some early Father's Day stuff...
Ya I thought the same exact thing. :ohdamn:The black one was simpler and clean but was completely stock. All show and no go. But oh well, I guess in the end it's whatever makes the owners happy.
I took some pics of the GT-R and some others on my iPhone. I'll put post them up tomorrow (Monday) while I'm at work. Dan (black talon) posted some pics on Facebook. If he doesn't get on here and post them, I could always take those and put them on here as well. He just did a couple line-up...
I was thinking the Lancaster Mall parking area, just over by the Applebee's. So basically next door to the Applebee's parking lot. We'll be there at 3pm. Let's just feel it out since both locations are fairly close. I'm not sure how busy it's going to be today.
We're meeting at 3pm on Saturday. I'm thinking we should try to meet in the Lancaster Mall parking lot next to Applebee's, (not Applebee's parking lot).My facebook is: Paul Richards | Facebook
It's around $3600. I had to pay more (not listed below) because I have a 2g and needed a different Cam sensor, 6 bolt flywheel and some 1g wiring / mod time. (They used my 2g head however)A general breakdown as of Dec '09 - Prices could change of course:
6 Bolt Core: $500
New Pistons and...
While not surprised, I'm glad to see another happy customer come from English Racing. I've been going there since last June (car was completely stock). It's great having a local shop that is reputable and knows what they are doing. Lucas, Aaron and the rest of their team are great. I always...
So are we making this happen this Saturday? I might be in Portland Friday evening / Saturday morning so later in the afternoon would be best. 3pm would probably be perfect.Honestly I prefer to meet up at the Lancaster parking lot by the street. It's fun to show off the rides and maybe get...
Well the best place in the NW is English Racing. I just had them build me a 6bolt this past December. You should contact them (Lucas / Aaron) and see if the price fits what you're looking for.Their website:

I'm down for some. I probably won't make all of them but think every other week or so would be cool. I'm really getting the itch to do more to my car. I'm thinking JMF intake/FP exhaust manifold and a nice powder coated valve cover. :). Need my engine bay looking as good as the outside. Hehe...

They just replaced my Injen style intake pipe with a 3" custom made pipe. I found a 3" pipe online and photoshopped it to give you a visual. Before:After:
As per Lucas over at English Racing, "We are at about the end of the line on the injectors 90% at 6600rpm. AF are in the low 11s though so there is a little room."
There is always next time. With the weather improving over the next couple months I'm sure we'll have other meets. It would be nice to have something a little more organized like the one in Washington this Saturday–BBQ etc. And I believe I've mentioned before, English Racing has dyno meets...
I'm fine with waiting to meet after noonmore like 1pm'sh. It might make it easier for a lot of us anyway. rx7ttlm said he'd be a little late, now you.
True. But I don't think Walmart will entice my wife as much as the mall will. :D Then again, I could always drop her off if need be. :rocks:It's up to you guys. Walmart might be busy too. :)
The Woodburn outlet mall at noon. xx503boyxx came up with the location. I'm not sure where in the parking lot since it's pretty big. I think we should have a plan.I'm thinking the right side of the road and as soon as there is enough parking spaces available. I don't think the back parking...
As expected the weather keeps changing. But so far as of this morning the prediction is "Clouds with some sun" as per accuweather.com.Coming:

I agree that I'm not sure if anyone is ever completely done with their car. I bought the car completely stock in October of '08. I started having work done to her in May of '09. My profile basically has everything I've done the past year. I still have a long way to go...Once I feel I'm...

I agree. This summer will be the perfect opportunity for us to enjoy the sun and have some meets. English Racing has dyno meets that would be great to have everyone meet up as well and have a BBQ or something. We could always meet at a restaurant or something. I'm not sure what Woodburn...
So how do you all feel about the weather if it doesn't cooperate? My personal take on it is if it's raining we should just cancel the meet. I don't mind a sprinkle but it takes the fun out of meeting everyone and talking "outside" when it's pouring.Looks like possibly 7 people so far...

Alright so I'm creating a list so we have a better idea who is coming. I'm fine with Woodburn Outlet Mall at noon. However doesn't the parking lot fill up sometimes? I want to make sure we have enough room to have all of our cars together etc.Coming:

Of course not! :) Nothing wrong with some Evo love. heheI talked to a TSi owner that works at a gas station near my work...he might be coming up with us as well.
Hey I PM'd you man. But ya, I'm down for a meet up there. Too bad the weather is going to be crappy for awhile now. This past weekend would have been best but it looks like the weekend of the 29th or so might be good. What day were you thinking about?Josh, you and I can roll up there...
To my knowledge the recent Salem meet didn't end up happening. I'm down for meeting up if the weathers right and people actually show some interest this time around. :D
As per Lucas at English Racingwhere I have all my work doneon my Speed Density conversion thread over in the Dynotalk section:"We are at about the end of the line on the injectors 90% at 6600rpm. AF are in the low 11s though so there is a little room."
If you're wanting to save a little money, I'd say go with evo injectors and you'll be fine. I'm boosting 26psi with my EvoIII 16g with evo injectors (560's). I am pushing the limits a bit but with your mods you won't be. Then when you're ready, you can upgrade later when the money is there...
We do have some E85 locations in Oregon but none of them are very close to my area. The closest station is 30-40 minutes away.Since its my daily driver I really don't want to stray away from pump gas. I also want to keep playing with it and see how high I can get with just 92 octane...
I don't know what the IDC's were. I'll see if I can get those though...Yes, it was done by the same individual on the same dyno. Lucas over at English Racing does the tuning. Everything performance wise on my car has been done at ER. I bought the car completely stock.
I went to English Racing yesterday to get my stock air meter removed with the Speed Density conversion. I figured I would share the results for those that are considering it or wanted more proof of the 2g MAF limitations. All my results are on pump gas. Until my car retires from daily driver...
I agree with gofer in regards to HKS 272's or FP2's. I'm running FP2's as well with a similar setup and love them. Like gofer stated, it pulls all the way to redline.I have a 6bolt swap with a 2g head...
