If you really think I was threatening you then you are truly mistaken. However, Like i said in the previous thread, I will not pursue you legally now that you have come on here and "made it right". If you ever want to test my resolve please feel free. Now all that to say this, stop running your...
Hello All,
My name is TYGRR on here. However, my name is David Mace. I do live in Avondale, AZ! I do have a 98 red GSX eclipse that was tuned by Wingz Performance! Yes, my motor did blow up about 3 or 4 weeks after his tune due to detonation. However, I would go back to him any day and twice on...
I didn't ask what you think about my cap/audio battery but thanks for your uneeded input. Kinetik HC600 850 amps, High Current Car Audio Power Cell Battery = to 100 1farad capacitors. :boring::tease:What happened was the Alternator had a bad internal regulator. The reason all of my aftermarket...
Ok everybody,
I have a big problem. I recently replaced my alternator with a 97 galant 90 amp as well as a brand new interstate battery three days ago. Now my dash and headlights dim and fluctuate quite alot. However, the weird thing is that all of my aftermarket guages dont fluctuate at all...
chances are it is probable either your master or slave that took a grumpy on you. It could also be your pedal assembly as well in conjunction with a bad master or slave. I wouldn't worry too much about your tranny unless you are getting grinding or bad sounds coming from it. As long as you are...
Ok everyone. Heres my prob. I am overheating only when i turn my A/C on. I have completely upgraded my cooling system. (mishimoto rad, fal fans with shroud, new temp sensors, 3 new thermostats) I have "burped" my cooling system more times than i care to remember. I have had my whole a/c system...
Hey everyone,
Im having some trouble figuring out what is going on. I just got my car back from the trans/tuning shop and i got about 10 miles away and the car began to shake really bad as well as the CEL light came on. As soon as i turn the car off and back on the problem goes away and no...
Whats up all?? I live right here in avondale round 99th and indian school. Im always down for dsm meets. Give me a ring @ 623 687 7863 if you all wanna get something started here out on the west side. :thumb::thumb:
I will have to disagree with you on that one^. I have done several motor builds and used many different pistons. Wiseco's are ok pistons at best. I say this becasue over 95% of the time there is something seriously wrong with their pistons either due to weight or balance or both. I have lots of...
Bought it back in March 09 when i returned from baghdad from these scammers in TX(unknowingly to me at the time). Shipped it home and realized that there was more sh1t wrong with it than my X-wife:banghead:. Had to pull motor twice due to faulty machine work. Plus i f@cked up a piston ring when...
Well, to start. I will let you know that going with wiseco is very "ifffffy" so to speak. I say that only because their clearances/tolerances are very inconsistent. I have purchased many types of pistons and Wiescos were on average 5-9 grams off on each one. There for they will need to be...
have you rebuilt your motor? If so, Ive seen guys over torque thier bearings and the crank will turn very very sloooooooowly because of the lack of clearances. I would almost bet there is an issue with your battery or starter. I would first start at the battery and get it fully charged/tested by...
I as well had a lil over $800 with just having the block done. It would be very easy to have well over $1800 in machine work to your motor. Depending what you want done of course. I will suggest that you dont try to dremel your stuff out like ive seen few people do just to save some money. Most...
I have a 93 talon and i installed a true 1000 watt amp and two 10" memphis subs and i have had no trouble whatsoever. Its been running strong for 2 years now. Hope this helps. good luck fellaI have a 93 talon and i installed a true 1000 watt amp and two 10" memphis subs and i have had no...
Who ever sold you that ecu lied. All 95-99 models have 4 connectors. The earlier models however only have three. It is an eprom ecu, however it is for the models earlier than a 95. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
As long as it has what ## saying it has, I would buy that yesterday. However, its going to be much more than $40 to fix that bearing. Just so you know. Let me know how it works out.
I would first wash your motor and then run your vehicle and look under hood for the leaks and then write a reply with better details as to where the leaks are. Its much easier when your post has a better description of the malfunctions. Good Luck fella.:ohdamn:
Start with the smallest thing first. Check all your main and rod bearings. if there is any scoring you will more than likely need to have your crank turned and rods possibly resized. When choosing bearings make sure and get clevite bearings because they always have excellent measurements...
I had the same thing happen and all i did was use some plastic weld. It held for almost 4months. You could do that, however, it would be much better for you to just go ahead and invest in an aluminum radiator. There are many good ones out there and they will definitely give you great results. I...
Well to start, there are many people with many different ideas on how to properly break in a motor as well as what TYPE/brand of oil to use. I will let you know that I have broke in a few motors and I always use a non detergent oil. I personally always use a Brad Penn break in oil from Slow Boy...
Your timing marks look great. You shouldn't have any problems whatsoever. I just did my first one a yr ago and i too was a nervous wreck about getting it right. I must have checked it at least 10 times before i fired her up. You have got to make sure that if you did a balance shaft removal kit...
I would definitely do a fluid change to start and use a good syncromesh or royal purple, ect... Then i would check and see if you are still having probs with the noise and loss of torque. I too had the same problem a while back and it ended up that my 1st and 5th gears were complete shot along...
Did he do any wiring before all this happened? Did he take anything apart? I would start by checking all your connections and go from there. good luck fella
I am having the same issues. I went to my dealership and they have been hooking me up with free resets. I know that makes me lucky, however, I have already went to the DMV to see about a waiver. Still no luck yet but i will keep you all posted. This problem should really be mitsu's and not ours...
I would highly suggest you go and get a haynes manual. The manual wont help you very much with mods but as far as general maintenance procedures this book will help you get to know your vehicle and the basic maintenance that will be required for you to enjoy your DSM. Good luck fella.:thumb:
You can pick them up at any Auto Zone/Checkers. The one i purchased 3yrs ago from Auto Zone has the mitsu badging on it and it has worked great. hope this helps you. good luck fella:thumb:
ive been using royal purple for quite some time now and i love it compared to the dealership fluid. I would highly recommend the royal purple 75/90 for anyones dsm. Good luck fella:thumb:
I just did the flush on my car and it was a very simple and im not that mechanically inclined. I just went to autozone and they hooked me up with everything i needed. The whole job took about an hour to complete but it was well worth it. My car runs better/ cooler now because of the flush and...
Make sure when you replace your isc that you take it to have it regulated or your problems wont go away. I did the same thing a few months back and i thought that it was just a remove and replace but soon found out that the isc must be regulated/calibrated if you will. Hope this helps.
I would def replace the water pump and tb tensioner. Like in previous reply you can find all this online for under $100. I would say that having brand new components as well as peace of mind for that price is more than worth it IMO
I as well am having the same problem. However it takes a few hrs. for the pressure to leave, but i can pump it back up and it will work for as long as i am driving the car. I rebuilt the master and slave as well and still I have this problem but now that the rebuild is done i just dont have any...
It could really be anything a bov(unlikely), short, bad ecu caps, fast idle valve, IAC. I would start at the least expensive thing and check your connections and look for any bad or worn wires.
I have had a "true" gates timing belt on my cars for over 75k before. I have never had a problem with them. However, they were made for stock power, if you go trying to hit 400-450hp you should prob expect to do more frequent tb changes IMO. but if you are farely close to stock then go for it as...
I did the skateboard bearings and noticed such a huge difference. I would def recommend the upgrade. You can find them on ebay for $5 bucks. Go for it and you wont be sorry.
Hello everyone,
I have just finished a 6 bolt swap and replaced nearly everything on the car. Including suspension. I replaced my stock struts and springs with kyb agx's and eibach pro spring kit. Now for some reason, the whole passenger side is over 1" lower than the drivers side. Yes, i...
multiple gauge installation power questionI too am also horrible at reading schematics. Would someone please send me a pic of how they powered multiple gauges at once. Thanks so much in advance to whomever can help
Thats exactly where i was going. I totally agree. You better be checking your oil for discoloration of some sort. Im almost positive you got an internal leak somewhere if your not seeing the coolant on the ground.
I would seriously just take a half day off and do a quick head gasket change on it. You really dont want to ever wait on big issues like that. Its like driving with a flat tire the damage is already done but the longer you wait the more damage will occur. Good luck to you:D
It sure is. I always like to open mine just to be sure. there should be a socket on the bottom right side with a serial number that matches the front. I got two buds that have told me to watch out for peeps that copy the stickers on real eproms and put them on non eprom ecu's. Just a suggestion.
I just got my electronic autometer wideband A/F gauge. I got to wiring. It was really easy getting the sender installed however there is one wire that is supposed to go to the wot switch on the throttle body. Could anyone tell me which pin on the ecu can give me that signal so i dont have to...
I just got my electronic autometer gauge and started wiring it up. I got stuck when it had 4 extra wires apart from the sender. It says they go to a data logger of some sort. I am already running a ECM link V3. Do i just tuck the wires out of the way or is there a place i wire them into?
Hey guys,
Do i need to swap the 1G head with a 2G head? Would it be better to do so? And why would it be? Please help!!!:banghead::confused:
