I had the keyway on the crank mess up a couple times but thats all fixed. Its making about 22lbs, I havent tried to turn it up or mess with it because I have to have something to drive. Hopefully the neon will be finished up today and the weather will cool down so I can mess with the talon a bit.

Ive been messing with it a little bit but just havent really had the time or the money for a while. It ran a 14.1@101 last sunday on low boost and a 2.2 sixty foot with a ton of boost leaks. Now that the weather is finally cooperating around here I might try and get it on a dyno.

Turbonetics 62-1 that I got off a fox body.On a good note after the lifter upgrade and the 272 cams the car seems to be running well. Time to get in a little tuning and button up everything.
Did a leak down test and I think the car has a couple bent valves so I am pulling the head today and hopefully with have it running 100% for the first time in about 3 weeks.
Little update, Ive been between jobs but Im back on track now. Finished buttoning up some loose ends on my srt-4 daily driver and now that the weathers cool and all that is done I can get back on the talon. Plans are to hopefully have it done by the 16th of this month and ready to make some runs.

Another update. Took the car for a spin and everything went well until the computer started acting up. I sent it back to ecmlink and they said they were sorry for overlooking the messed up socket in it the first time I sent it back and they fixed the socket for free and it should be back today...
Well I borrowed a turbo and went to crank it up and it was acting really funny. After closer inspection the crank key had cracked the timing had retarded a lot. After fixing that which it took a bit to figure out the issue I had to take the borrowed turbo back off cause my friend needed it...
I leak tested it after the turbo and everything seemed fine, I did notice while testing it that where the compressor housing meets the center section it is leaking. Leaking bad, so I blue rtv'd all the way around it. I checked all the bolts and they were all tight so IDK why it would be leaking...
put the leak tester on the inlet of the turbo, hit it with the air compressor to about 15psiI did, spins free and the fins arent bent or hitting anything. Its been rainy here lately so I havent messed with it since saturday.

I'm just so at a loss with it. It goes from 25psi, to popping a pipe off, to no boost at all. It blows my mind, and this isnt my first turbo car so I do know a good bit but still cant get it.
The turbo has been professionally taken apart and checked so that can't be the issue.And I took the wastegate apart and checked it out even though its a brand new tial 44 and it seemed fine, looks like its never opened since the dump tube isn't showing any exhaust soot in it.
I havent counted, but it would take one hell of a leak for the car to make no boost with the wastegate line unhooked. I mean the turbo would just keep spooling. The car runs exactly the same with and without one of the intercooler pipes hooked up. Its the strangest thing.

Its not leaking yet (22psi). I have it crushed, I ran 26lbs on my first gen neon that was making 400whp+ on a crushed 1g bov and it wasnt leaking. Ive been tinkering a bit with my srt-4, got a diablosport tuner and a 3 inch o2 housing for it so hopefully it should be in the 12.8 range next time...
Yeap, Im off work this week so hopefully I can get the oil leak taken car of. Its making 22psi right now and running pretty well with a basic tune. Gonna button up some things and turn the boost up.
Leak tested the crap out of the car. Fixed 5 boost leaks, the car is spiking 20psi now. Just bought a throttle body gasket cause mine is pissing boost everywhere so gonna put that on and attempt to fix the oil leak tomorrow.

It pulled the srt a little on 12psi, Ive got to get a check valve for the brake booster and build a boost leak tester. For some reason oil keeps filling the valley on the valve cover and the crank seal is going to be replaced very soon to fix that leak. I replaced the valve cover thinking it...
Drove the car around last night, didnt beat on it or anything. Drives and shifts good, still has an oil leak that I need to figure out but with 1 stock fan and 1 slim fan on a 180 thermostat everything seemed to be fine.On 12psi the talon pulls my srt-4 from a roll and my srt traps 108 all day.
Im going to leave it stock unless it cant handle the heat. Got the trans finished and took it around the block. It has some how developed and oil leak, and ate another belt but other then that all that is left is wiring up the last fan and wiring up the tranny to shift on toggle switches...
Little update, car is running, just rebuilt the trans since it had almost 160k on it. Should be doing a little tuning coming up soon. Also ordered some parts from SBR and now they are ignoring me and wont send me the stuff I paid for.
Bought a full tranny rebuild kit since it probably needed it having 150+k miles on it. Hopefully have it rebuilt and on the road within 2 weeks. Got a tag on it now atleast.
Took it to get it inspected, made it there and back and it popped a line off the tranny cooler when we got back to the house, put some new clamps on and I think its either over full or under full cause it wont go anywhere, but when all the wheels are off the ground they turn when its in drive...
