.... Before you put the new timing belt on, and throw it all back together, you need to find out why the belt got locked...
Drain the oil and look for flakes. My balance shaft bearings went dry, balance shaft stopped spinning, and locked up the whole motor.
You need to find out what made it lock...
Think of why these cars seem to be unreliable...The owners.
Mods usually reflect the owner. They guy has a Fast and Furious eclipse. I see no good coming from a car that was most likely owned by someone who doesnt keep up with maintenance, and doesnt care for the car, other than cosmetic...
Like everyone else said. The 420a wont be able to make that much, reliably, unless you put a good amount of money into it.
You can do some bolt ons to it. Maybe 2.5 inch Exhaust, Manifold, Intake, Bigger throttle body, maybe port a little, throw in a set of mild cams. But the way I always...
91 Laser AWD. No Spark. Fresh rebuild. Wired in SAFC 2.
I changed out the CAS, PTU, coils, plugs, and wires, with known working ones. MPI/MFI fuses are good.
ECU had no burn spots, or anything abnormal. CEL does come on.
Its getting power to the CAS/PTU/Coils. It just wont spark.
MPI clicks...
Mine had an issue like this.
It was a ground wire for me.But a good start would be to check the TPS/IAC/Crank&Cam Sensor. CEL's help alot if you got one.
MPI/MFI relay.
Engine Fuse.
Crank and cam sensor.
Might as well pull the ECU out, inspect/smell the caps, make sure connections are tight and good, while also inspecting the wires.
Sounds like it wasnt bled.
Meaning, the old cylinders could have let air get into the line, causing it do drop, then when you replaced the cylinders, you may not have bench bled them, then fully bled the lines. You were linked to a Proper Clutch Petal adjustment video on your intro page.
After...
Hes talking about petal adjustment, which wont be your issue here.
Youre probably getting air into the system. Check the slave cyl, and the lines from the master to the slave.
In this part of WI, you will receive a ticket if you put different plates on it. 'False display of Plates' Fine starts at $189.
Here, you can just drive it on home with just the title. No plates, or bill of sale. As long as its dated, it wont matter.
I second buying a N/T, or a Honda.
I drove the hell out of my 91 Accord. Only thing that went on it was the valve cover gasket.
Didnt really have a N/T long enough to put any opinion on that. Only had it 3 months.
The whole DSM forum hating you? Not really.
What you did here, was stupid. Your craigslist post, was stupid. Your actions put you here man.Keep it, and make it decent, or sell it, and have nothing to do with the community anymore.

Why not just do it right, and dont blow anything? Ive ran a cheap $14.99 eBay MBC for 3 years, and no problems. Get a new Boost gauge. You should know how much boost youre actually running. Is this the stock turbo you are on?
Id change that timing belt out in 20,000 miles. And hope that the oil pump is a hit on the "hit or miss" scale. Id recommend an oil pressure gauge if you dont got one. Just so you know if something goes wrong.OP- If you dont know how to repair these things yourself, and have no one to teach...
Should be posted in "The Hangout"Make sure theres fuel mods if hes running 20psi on a 16G. I saw no SAFC.
If youre not a mechanic, and you get the car, better be prepared to become one.
You will want to know all the mods done to the car, for reference on further mods/breakdown diagnostics...
14B for $1,000... Seeing at its that high, I'll sell mine for $750...
How are you gonna post on here asking us on what we think about it, and then sell it.Youre gonna be lucky to even get 1,000 for that thing...
Change that ad. Post 1000 obo.
You shouldnt even own the car... Maybe trade it for...
Should know Im going to go look at a first gen tomorrow. Built head, 20G turbo, 750cc/255lph, SAFC, HKS FMIC&BOV, 3in Turbo back. Bad rings on cyl #1. Comes with full rebuild kit. For sale under $1000.
The Talon and Eclipse hatches are the EXACT same(Never minding the wing/wing holes)
I believe the stock Talon wing has 5 bolts holding it on, after you take off all the plastics. I taped over some(With sealant on the inside), and just threw the Eclipse high rise on.
The FMIC shouldnt cause the car to over heat, unless its blocking ALOT of the airflow. Ive never had a heat issue with my FMIC.
Maybe a coolant temp sensor. They cause a bunch of weird issues with start ups, and heat.Seeing as the water pump, and the Thermostat are new, Rad was flushed, and...
