I got a good deal on it! I wouldn't think the injectors will make a big difference.
any one know how to hook up a safc neo correctly? I got mine already reflash by apexi.
I got the chip from a member here in dsmtuners. I also have a safc neo but I have trouble hooking it up so i took it out. got it reprogram by apexi already. tried researching for the neo but no luck. I'm running 12 psi on my 16g.
I recently got my eprom ecu with a dsmchip, dsmchip consist of stage 3 with 2g maf, 255 walbro, 16g turbo and 650 cc injectors.
I have all the above but 680 cc injectors so I would have more room to moved.
My car feels better but kinda weak! Is there any other things that would help it be...
I recently install a safc neo, just go it flash a week ago from apexi, on my 90 eagle talon awd turbo. when i start the car, everything is good EXCEPT, I get no karma signal and the car runs ok. I cut the pin 10 wire from the ecu and connecet it with the orange and pink wire from the safc neo...
I have a new version of the Safc neo, Yes it is karma capatable. I heard that the wiring diagram that apexi gave you is wrong, and vfaq does not list safc neo installation guild. the apexi website gives no good info! does the safc neo and the safc 2 have the same wiring diagram? any one have any...
just save some money and buy a used motor from the junk. i was 19 when i got my first dsm. I bought it with a seized motor and got a head and block at the junk for $100. just make sure you test out the compression before you buy the motor. patient is the answer to everything....POWER.
I had that kind of problem when I first swap my new motor in my 1990 talon awd. try to mess around with the wiper relay by the battery on the firewall. I was messing with that and that solve my problem.
i was new at my dsm. if you don't know how to eliminate the balance shaft, just don't do it because it could really messed everything up. just replace the belt along with everything else when you do your timing belt.
you should of have replace the timing belt tensioner along with the balance shaft belt as well. these things are somewhat expensive but is worth it. check the belt location on the pulley and make sure you line up every mark correctly. check your oil pan bolt because if the bolt is in the wrong...
if you want to swap it to another motor, it will cost money, time, and headache. just go to the junkyard and get another same head and block. go on a 1/2 off sale and you could get a head and block for as cheap as 100.00. I was a cheap college student and got lucky on a $500 eagle talon and a...
it could be alot of things that went wrong. double check all the work tha you did including the timing. you don't want to drive the car with wrong timing. also check your turbo, my car was running with no power when i notice that I lost my "PSHHH" sound.
if you want decent power and dont want to waste alot of money, upgrade your fuel pump to evo or 3000gt, many members here sells fuel pumps. replace injectors with evo, or others that are 550cc or your choice. use a SAFC to correct the air flow. high boost will be ok at this point with the 16g turbo.
if you have not did a whole system flush on your coolant. do it now. I found a small silicon piece that was blocking the water passage in the thermostate housing. do a new system flush and replace the water pump( if you have not did so) than it will be fine.
there are many out there. ebay has alot of universal ones. for a cheap price, go with the 3000gt or evo. for aftermarket, go with walbro 190 or 255 depending on your desire h.p. Holley is another good brand for fuel pump.
Hello everybody,
my auto tensioner for my timing belt recently went bad on my 90 eagle talon tsi.
the engine is a 6 bolt 4g63t.I was wondering if there are other different auto tensioner out there that would work on the 4g63t?will the non turbo 4g63 auto tensioner fit on the turbo...
I decided to change my cam seal after figuring out that it was leaking from there.
I change both of them as well as all the belts. The timing is dead on with the markings at TDC. After installing everything, the car starts right up like before but now with a noise that seems like its rubbing...
Ever since I bought the car, I can never solve the problem of the cluster..
Everything works Except the Temp gauge and the Fuel gauge. The Temp gauge reads to hot in about 3 mins after the car is start. the fuel gauge goes right to full automatically.
