well it sounds like your having a oiling Issue, when was the last time you changed your oil?and have you made sure you have enough oil in the car?and have you made sure your head is getting oil?

He's right. 1G's to tick quite a bit, but it shouldn't be a loud tick tho.Ticking can also mean bad valve stem seals, but that usually comes with some smoking too.does your smoke at all?

On the 1g's there are to plugs on each side of the hatch window at the top of the window that connects to the defroster. Check those, likely one or 2 came unplugged.

IMO sounds like your ISC is going, but could be a Vacuum Leak or something is bogging the motor uber tons.I would get a repair manual preferably a Haynes because I know they have a really good trouble shooting section and it helps alot to have one.=, especially on this specific problem
