I'm having a similar problem. when i start it up oil pressure is where it should be and no smoke. after it warms up the oil pressure drops and it smokes at idle and under acceleration. I've been bouncing back and forth between valve seals and turbo. But which one would cause the loss of oil...
you must not be bleeding them properly. this is from the stop tech website and is the way i do it.
Bleeding Process1. Begin at the corner furthest from the driver and proceed in order toward the driver. (Right rear, left rear, right front, left front.) While the actual sequence is not...
well its a 92 but it had the 90 cables in it i believe im not really sure whats going on there. but i did fix the problem the bracket on the transmission was reversed, flipped it around and im good to go. thanks
I only have 3rd,4th,5th,and reverse. In other words what should be first and second, is third and fourth. I installed newer cables that only have one adjuster compared to the ones i took at which had adjusters on both cables. I also put in new aluminum shifter linkage bushings and base bushings...
Good Point I didn't think about more places of leaks but that right there might be reason enough to just run stock size. But back to the theory, what differences would it make? Although I'm sure any difference is minimal i'm just curious. :hmm:
I have some brake line that i go for free but i'm pretty sure its bigger than stock. I have the adapters for the fittings so they will fit into the master cyliner, distribution block, and calipers.Does the diameter of the the brake line effect pedal feel in any way? I've heard this argued...

You can get the adhesive at any auto parts store or Home Depot.
I can't believe stupid ####ing threads like this make it to three pages when meaningful tech questions go unanswered. but i guess i'm being hypocritical by posting here. SOME people here are more concerned about bashing others and titties than they are with there own car. (but titties are good)...
i have the old motor and tranny out of the car. the one I'm talking about is from another talon i parted out. It was shifting fine, i parked it for a month, then only had first and second before i took it out of the car. One of the shift levers doesn't want to move at all by hand and I don't...
So i need to the talon back and running asap. I have a spare motor and transmission that i am going to put into the car that is from another talon i had that i parted out. Both are 92 6bolt. The car i parted out was driving fine until a rear wheel bearing went and it needed more rust fixed than...
if you look to the left of the brake booster i have the vaccum line and the wires for aem tru boost coming out of where the speedo cable comes through.Uploaded with ImageShack.us
audi owner. this is from this kid that i used to go to school with."wow kid DSM motors ####ing suck dick. ####ing shitty 4 banger in your rice box. too bad DSM is ancient technology and there best motor is a 4 banger with a shitty turbo that goes after 80k. hahahhahaha DSM makes me...
hahahha sounds like a rough night. i've been there before but usually instead of the back of a jeep its some random girls bed. quietly remove the sheets, slip the pants on, and sneak out the back door. unless she;s good looking then i'll cook breakfast.

just run a wire from the battery to the fuel pump and ground it. or if you dont have a long enough wire just take the battery out and put it in the trunk temporarily.
sorry missed that part of your question yeah that would work too but i would use a punch not a screw driver. the last thing you want is a piece of metal chipping off into the transmission. good luck
since the transmission is already out try using two prybars (one on each side) this should help it come out strait and maybe have someone else pry the other side. give it a couple love taps with a hammer to help break some of the rust and let it soak in some pb blaster if that doesn't work. I've...
I have used it before and i think there are other threads about this if you search it but basically just suck it up through a vacuum line and shut your car off. let it sit for a couple minutes and start it up when you do all the carbon built up in your engine will come out as white/grey smoke...
I've installed several of these types of kits on 1g's without a relay, just plug and play. never had any problems with them. I just drill a hold in the back of the bulb cover to put the wires through and put a grommet in the middle to prevent moisture from getting in. my advice would be to take...
it doesn't get any easier and cheaper. go to home depot get some cans, clean the surface, and spray, if you don't like it peal it off. sprayed the stock rims a month ago but i didn't have the balls to do the whole carBy abois at 2010-10-22By abois at 2010-10-22By abois at 2010-10-22...
The first step in solving you problem would be to fix the exhaust leak which most likely is the cause of the fumes. if it still continues to smell like gas check the fuel lines especially fittings such as on the fuel rail and fuel filter.Beat me to it
