do you smell fuel whe the engine is cranking. if not look further into your fuel pump. make sure you have spark, connections at coil, power transistor. make sure you battery negative is tighly secured at the battery and body.

Yes you can go to a 12V source, just make sure its is a switched 12V circuit so that when you turn the car off the light will also go out. Most people I know tap into the fuse panel under the dash at your feet.

do you know that its running lean? are you running a wideband? the exhaust leak could throw off the O2 sensor. well with 750cc injectors i dont see how your running lean at idle unless you messed something up with your SAFC, on the other hand that 190 walbro wont cut it for those injectors...

+1 on boost leak test, they will often tell you everything you need to know and more . be sure to use some soapy water in a spray bottle it really takes the guess work out of pin-pointing where that darn sound is coming from
