Figured I would update this thread for others who may be looking. A co-worker tracked this adapter down for me. Allows you to mount a 1/8 NPT sender or anything really into one of the blocked off 3/8 BSPT ports in the OFH.http://www.42draftdesigns.com/Lancer-EVO-18-NPT-Oil-Temp-Adaptor_p_54.html
Sorry to dig up the old thread, but does anyone know where to source the blue BSPT adapters shown in the picture to reduce to the right size for the gauge? I've been looking for them with no luck.
I was browsing ebay last night and decided to search for these coilovers. Only ones that I could find are in the link below. They appear to be a fully adjustable version of the earlier mentioned ones.1995 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Full Coilovers Adjustable Damper Suspension Red | eBay
Outgrew my Snap-on Classic 78 and bought a master series last summer. Value of the tools inside is worth more than the box. I try not to think about it too much, and view it as the last tool box I'll ever buy.
My Mishimoto shroud and fans fit the stock radiator and my Mishimoto radiator perfectly. So if the Punishment kit is capable of fitting the stock raidator, I don't see why it wouldn't fit the Mishimoto radiator, if you get what I'm saying.
I might try a factory oil drain for the heck of it. I've got a 1g and 2g oil returns sitting here. Only thing I can't find is a part listing for the factory pan bolts and the crush washers. Anyone ordered them before?
I apologize for bringing this thread back, but its the closest to my problem that I could find in my searches. Rather than start a new thread, I figured I would just add on. I installed my e316g last week and the whole install when smoothly. My only issue is my oil return. I used the FP 16g...
I'm in the process of installing my 16g and its attached to the manifold with the bolts finger tight currently. For the life of me, I cannot find torque specs for the ARP hardware. What has everyone else used in the past? The link is the set I am using.EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In...
My 'small' tool collection at work. The Craftsman box is spare parts, wiring, and manuals and paperwork. The Snap-On box holds my tool collection. I try not to think about what I have invested in this.
Our engine uses an iron block, so your information is useless. Every engine I have ever assembled with an iron block, I have lightly coated the threads of the headbolts with motor oil.
I have nothing against UTI grads. I'm not saying this is the generalization of their graduates, but in all the UTI students that I have met, maybe 2 in 10 actually know what they are doing in the field. I went to a local community college and had the best instructor that I have ever had in my...
I tighten the t-bolt clamps on my ETS kit with an electric impact. Put "common sense" tight, I've never had a problem with them being too loose and causing a boost leak or being too tight and breaking or crushing a pipe. Most good quality t-bolt clamps have a nylon locker on the nut, so they...
Yeah, I just read it. Maybe that should put some people straight. Some of it was funny, but some of it was downright frustrating at all the misinformation.
Sorry to resurrect this old post, but I didn't see the point of making a new thread when my question directly pertains to the discussion. From what I'm reading, its ok to replace the headbolts with studs one at a time. I'm assuming you do it in the torque and de-torque order the manual says...
Some of the 4G64s came with an exhaust manifold that had individual runners for each cylinder, which then went into a collector and a single cat. Other years had a pre-cat and the exhaust manifold had joined runners, looking similar to the manifold from the 4G63t, which then flowed into the...
I just went through all the TSB's for the Heritage 04 and new body style 04. Couldn't find anything like what you are describing and I can't seem to recall ever seeing that kind of problem with the 4.6 2-valve. If you dropped a seat, then you would be hearing the pieces in the cylinders. Are...
2gb Eclipse with a 2gb Talon nose is my favorite. Still searching for a Talon bumper for a decent price. Wingless 2gb Eclipse is pretty hot looking in my book too.
I've given thought to deleting the muffler from my N1 turboback, wouldn't have to worry about it rusting out. Thought about just unbolting the muffler pipe, so my exhaust would terminate at the rear subframe; easy to reinstall if I don't like it. Maybe I'll give it a try later this week one...
They give you 10 versions of the 3000GT but can only give you 2 DSMs only one of them turbo, 3 if you count the VR4 Galant. Thats just plain retarded. I've never been a fan of the GT series of games. I'm more of a Forza fan, the physics always felt more realistic.
Are there any markings on the CHRA? Look around on the forums and try to find specs on the T25 wheel measurements. This is what a T25 looks like. I'm not sure if a T28 looks any different on the compressor wheel.Second link is to Forced Performance's website for T28 turbos. You can...
I think the only difference between the T25 and T28 is the diameter of the compressor inducers and exducers. Try measuring the inlet size to the turbo. A T28 is nothing more than a larger compressor wheel crammed into a bored out T25 compressor housing. On the outside they are...
We don't really get snow or bad weather like that, but when I don't feel like waiting for the DSM to warm up to drive to work in the morning, I drive my 2003 Galant. Dead reliable, 60k on the clock, some mild tweaks and little things I've done to it. Nice to be able to just jump in and go...
Any ball and socket type connection can cause the symptom you are describing when they become worn. Have you checked your upper arm ball joint, inner and outer tie rods and trailing arm ball joint? Look for torn boots or any play in the arms. Usually if a sound is loud enough, it can be...
Lowest I ever run mine is to the last of the 4 tic marks on the gauge. Never gone below it and I have never seen my fuel light come on. My 03 Galant will turn the light on just before the 'E' tick mark on the gauge.
I would love to have a custom exhaust made for my 2g. Problem is that I don't trust any of the exhaust shops that have the proper equipment. And even then, I've seen their work and its usually sloppy. I wish someone would come out with a turboback similar to what STM fabbed up on their 2g...
I've gone through every thread I can find relevant to 63D pistons, and cannot find a positive ID on what these are. Most threads I find show the stock 2g pistons to have 63D T F1 on the dome. The pistons I have are labeled 63D T EV. It is a 7-bolt engine with the flange thrust bearing design...
