I have used a can of pb blaster, and a propane torch for an hour. Only got the spindle up to 700 degrees. Still no budging it.I pulled the whole unit now and looking for someone with a large press to get it out.Looks like I'm going to have to return the bearings and get oem.
I had the axles seize to the rear hubs and have been trying to get the axle out with a 7 ton puller with no success. I bought new wheel bearings (timken) but they dont come with the hub with the wheel studs. I messed up the rear hub trying to get the axle out. Where can you get a 2g awd rear hub...
He said that he put a 44 degree angle on the head and a 45 degree on the valve, or vice versa. He also told me to just run it and if the valves leaked he will re do it, but that's more work than I should have to do.
I was having problems with my exhaust valves seating in my head. I did a leak down test with a semi broken tester. Basically all it did was put pressure air into the spark plug holes with the cams out and I was getting leaks from my exhaust valves.I already had a 3 angle valve job done on the...
Has anyone ordered from clutchnet lately? I ordered a 4 puck disc on Sunday and I got a email that says confirmed but nothing about shipping yet. I've tried to call since Wednesday and no one ever picks up. I've even left a message and he still didn't call back. Is this shop still in business...
That is like a last resort. After paying so much money to have a professional shop assemble my shortblock, i want them to fix it. If i wanted to do everything myself i would have. I just want a motor that lasts!!!!!
Everything that would need to be done is, New rings, new bearings and possibly a hone? what if the cross hatching looks good?Could the pistons be messed up from the rings not setting?
Fast enough is never Fast enough, that is for sure, But if they don't warranty it will drive it until the low cyl goes out and never do business with them again, and tell everyone my story and strongly not recommend them to everyone i know and talk to.I knew what i was getting into.. but...
I have been really courteous so far. Its been really hard to do because i want to tell them how i fell about it all. But i know everyone makes mistakes and if they will admit it and rectify it is another story.I really want to get a g4cs aka 4g64 6bolt to spool my turbo, currently a fp3065...
The pistons were bought new by me on my first build. Every time i put new rings on them. This last time i put new rod pins and locks in them including new rings. They are wiseco 1400 hd 9.0:1 pistons. The pistons looked new and checked out every time. And i don't really want to take it apart...
Do you still think it could be the valves even after i did a leak down test and i could hear lots of air coming from the crankcase and dipstick tube?I'm pretty sure it is the shortblock. Could the cyl walls could be messed up from the pistons since the they are letting oil by?Is there...
The head was redone, It has new seals and new oem valves with a 3 angle valve job, and light port work done to it. It has also only been resurfaced once. The first two built motors that went bad were because oil contamination i'm sure. This the the first motor from this company, the other...
The low cyl is really dark and has oil on it. The other plugs are not as clean as they should be. The tune might be a little rich up top like 11.8 according to wb. This exact motor has not been tuned. My other two build were tuned at db performance and this build is exactly the same minus the...
The only issue that i had was i have a 6bolt block with a 2g head and using a 6 bolt cam angle sensor and a 95 eprom ecu and 96 wire harness i got a random multiple misfire code if i would cruse after about 500-600 miles . I was told to disable the cyl misfire check for that because of my 6bolt...
I know that the pistons are wiseco 1400hd 9.0:1 so there is still a dish. I used a cap full of oil in each cylinder and it could have pooled up, but a 40psi increase is quite a bit for that i think.I also shined a flashlight down the sparkplug holes and noticed that the really low cyl had a...
Hi everyone this is my 3rd built motor that has failed me.... first two spun number 4 rod bearing..Well anyways the shortblock was built buy a very reputable company and it was broken in right. The controlled aggression way, lots of oil changes. It was tuned on e85 and the max boost it has ran...
i did everything on that page except i forgot to reset fuel trims.... do you think that would make a big difference? This was my trial run.. My a/f ratio estimate is at 12.0 but wb was reading 10.0 so dunno if resting my fuel trims would fix it or not.
I need help tuning the MAF I have two logs one in second gear one in third. my boost est is way off from what I'm running.I'm holding 18 psi steady and i tried using this equation ((Actual Boost + 14.7 PSI) / (BoostEst + 14.7 PSI)) - 1.0.. with no luck.. it made my car run extremely rich...
I need help removing the filter from the black fp inline filter. Any advice?
It seems to be stuck in there and i cant fit a pin or anything in it to push it threw.. Thanks
