Yeah anyone selling a red front bumper, all tan interior panels, tan leather seats both front and back, a 97 and 99 ecu's one of each, a taxtric obdII plug for programing an ECU, voxx 5 spoke gray rims with good year eagles, brand new headlights, all tail lights, and any engine parts from the...
Well I will make this short and sweet. For all those people that live in the Tacoma, Puyallup, and Graham area of Washington State. My 97 GSX was stolen out of a Public Storage storage yard and was stripped and dumped out in the Graham, Eatonville area. So be on the look out for people...
Hey people ceddy has asked a few times to please not fill up this thread with tuning question and stuff like that so please take all tuning question to this thread, and that is where you ask for help with your tuning issues...
As it states on the very first page that this is for only the 98/99 eclipse/talon turbo ecu's, and you can swap one of those ecu's into your 95 turbo eclipse directly with some issues from the cas but ceddy has a fix for that. This has nothing to do with evo ecu's other then their helping ceddy...
Man ricers and having to vent there bov for the cool sound. Its not worth the hassle just run it the right way until you can go speed density, I mean honestly is really that inmportant to have have that noise when it effects the vehicles drivability.
No ceddy said in his post that he would let someone else do it because he was not going to break the law, and as of right now ceddy and Jeffo are the only ones doing coding for these ecu's as far as I know. If someone knows of anyone else please chime in. So sorry now way to cheat the emission...
Well I fell like a fool but here it goes anyways. So I have EcuFlash and my Openport 2.0 cable working perfectly, got the flash cable in and everything seems to be working. So I go to read the rom off my Ecu and it gets clear through reading the rom a screen pops up stating that its an unknown...
No the EVO 8 turbo can not bolt up to the EVO 3 manifold did you not read the post above where it was all explained. The EVO 3 manifold looks just like the stock manifold on your car it just has bigger ports and runners so it flows exhaust better, and the flange that connects the turbo to the...
DSMlink isn't worth the headache when ECUflash will let you do the same tuning for alot cheaper. I would really recomend checking out Ceddy's mod page and the 98/99 ECU flash thread, and Jeffo has a really nice site set up at DSMChips.com for the first time tuner, and tuning equipment for good...
Yeah thats all fine and dandy that Jeffo has been such a contributor to the DSM world and I thank him for that, but I was just watching Ceddy's back to make sure he is getting the thanks that he is entitled for making it possible for other people to line there pockets is all.
Wow Ceddy are you getting some serious cash kick backs from Jeffo at DSMChips.com for marketing everything that you have been working on with the flashing of the 98/99 ecu's. I mean in all honesty if it hadn't been for you braking all the coding they wouldn't have anything to sale. The thing that...
It will take some work but the biggest problem is that fact that the EVO cams are facing the wrong way on the head to bolt up to the 6-bolt. Why not just use the comlpete EVO motor, if it is because of the supposed crankwalk issue the EVO motors didn't have the same problem as the DSM 7-bolts.
Hello everyone I thought I would post something here since no one apparently knows how to read. Ceddy has asked everyone enough times that this thread is not for posting question, and that is why he keeps telling everyone to check the other thread and post your problem questions there. So people...
What does the car have for a transmission. Is it an automatic or a 5-speed, we are not mind readers so complete info when you ask a question is a great way to go on here. If it is a manual your clutch could be goin out, and if it is an auto trans it could be goin out also.
Here is some help from a company that has mastered the 4G63 motor and also the swap, and this has been covered a million times so use the search feature next time so the moderators don't get mad at you. http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/tech/1gina2g.pdf
Good luck with the project. :thumb:
Actually guys the N/A 4G63 2.0L was in all N/A cars built from 90-94 it was the engine they used in the models of cars that were not the base models which got the 1.8L motors, but also were not the high end cars with turbos. The N/A 4G63 2.0L heads cams are different then the turbos and it is...
When we installed my friends cage in his 2G, we just used an air compressed angle grinder with some heavy duty sander disc and only removed the tarmat from the areas that we would be welding the cage too, seemed to work like a charm for us.
Yeah it would be much cheaper to pick up a used one then to have yours repaired if it can be. But if you spend a little bite more money you can get a nicer head from one of the vendors that I suggested earlier.
It sounds to me like the wiring is either needing repaired or you oil pump is getting ready to go out on you. If the wiring is ok then it is about time to do a rebuild.
I don't know if that is repairable, I wouldn't think so. If you are looking to replace it check out these couple of places. DSM Graveyard - Your #1 Source for DSM Parts!, or FFWD Connection - Race Injuns That Will Freeze Your Brain they should be able to help you out. Hope this helps.
Have you replaced your fuel filter or yor fuel pump lately. It sounds like the filter is clogged or the fuel pump isn't pushing enough fuel and the only way to build up enough fuel in the system is to restrict the fuel flow through the system by clamping the return line. You need to check your...
Im sorry it sounds way to good to be true. Straight up swaps to me mean one of you is getting the shaft and since it is him wanting to do the straight up trade it would be you most likely getting the shaft in the end in someway. I would never buy a highly modded vehicle unless I helped build it...
I know that they have been discontinued throught the oem parts departments and the last place I saw was MACH V had a few left awhile back you might want to check with them.
Well my 94 eclipses water pump froze up and it never had a leak. My CEL (Check Engine Light) and the temp light both came on. Got the car home took the motor out, and then took the belts off tried to turn the water pump and no go. It's a mecahnical piece that spines it can freeze up just like...
If you took care of the loose belt and now it is squeeling and over heating then it is your water pump going out on you. I would not drive it anymore until you can get it replaced, you stated you already let it over heat to much once because your CEL and temp guage were both on. I wouldn't take...
Im sorry maybe it is just me but I am confused here. If your transfer case is already on the ground what info are you trying to find out then? I mean the transfer case is 5 bolts and then it is off the transmission, and the drive shaft should slide right out. So please clearify what you are...
That isnt really a job that you can do without removing the motor, and your also don't know what else has gone wrong with the motor just by the sounds it is making I mean you can get a really good guess but until you tear it down you really don't know for sure.
Take the mounts off the motor and make sure it is supported with something like a cherry picker and the take the mounts off of the frame and out of the way, and then pull the motor out of the engine bay. Hope that helps.
What way are you planning on taking the motor out of the engine bay. Are you taking out through the top or out through the bottom. I have always just removed them from the engine and then taken them off of the body. Just make sure to support the motor at all times as soon as you begin because...
Yeah I just got new rims and tires for my car on saturday and one hell of a deal I got them for. My new rims I found on craiglist for Voxx 5 Spoke 17X7.5 rims for $160.00, and then I got a full set of Goodyear 225/45r17 with good tread used for $172.00 for a awsome total of $332.00 and well...
Yeah it is the alternator these cars love to eat reman alternators like they are a fat kid eating cake. I finally bought an actual new oem alternator instead of a reman and have had no problems with my charging system since. I know that oem alternators a costly but well worth it since Im not...
If this is your first DSM car then I would really recommend heading to local parts store or get on amazon and pickup a haynes and a chilton manual, because they will be your new best friends. So the previous owner just cut the belts off those pulleys or did they remove the p/s pump and the a/c...
I don't know what brand they are either but I'm wondering why you are looking to find those exact rims, they look really heavy to me so I would opt for something newer and more updated. IMHO
