I think it calls for ATF-4. Im currently running 80/90 in my trans and its shifting smooth. I would get that oil out of your trans, its way to thick.

Sounds like there might be air in your hydraulic system. Have your tried to bleed the system?

yeah that was one of the first things that i checked. This is the wierdest thing b/c its not like i could have hit a bump and loosened something up. I litterly turned the car off and went to turn it back on and now nothing lol

Just re-checked the ground cable for the starter and everything is all good there.

I think i misunderstood what you meant. You want to leave the transmission in the car and pull the block correct? Not remove the trans first and then the block?

You can take it out without the transmission, but its probably going to be more of a headache than its worth. It's a lot easier to just take them both out together and disassemble the trans from the block when they're both out. It just saves you from having to go under the car and unbolt the...

Should give you a good idea on how to get it done. Except your going to have to drop the transfer case and drive shaft. I think the transfer case is only held on by 5 bolts so it shouldn't take much longer.

Yeah im pretty sure that it is the cables, i had to mount them back further to even get any gears at all. I didn't check the front diff gear ratio. The previous owner had the transmission in the car when i bought it. It did shift alright before the head gasket went and i had to tear it all...

Oh okay i see. I browsed through this thread once before, i just don't understand how to do it. Wiring is my worst nightmare. Is there any other way to get the fans to work without a switch or a relay?

SO i thought i had everything figured out with these slims fans. I started on the drivers side, blue to blue and black to black. I turned on the a/c to activate the fans and nothing. Does anyone know if there is something that i am missing here? I bench tested the fans and they are working...

I took my balance shafts out because the belt broke on my car and was shredded all throughout the timing cover . I was lucky enough that it didn't get caught it the belt itself and throw the timing off.

From the auto zone link, it shows that the connector i have circled is for the fans. And the one on the bottom is for the CTS. I know i can probably connect the CTS without a plug. But which color wire would go to each prong.

Ive run it to some problems with the wiring harness on my 91 talon tsi. It seems that the previous owner cut off two plugs that go to the thermostat housing. I can not figure out how to attach these wires without a plug. Any help would be appreciated. Pics are attached. Thanks in advance.

So i replaced my bad throw out bearing after i forgot to replace it when i did my new clutch last month and now im spitting transmission fluid out the passengers side axle. Im assuming it is the axle seal so im in the process of replacing it right now. My problem is that the seal part came out...

I had the same problem with my talon. I tightened the bolt and it worked for a few days. Then it would just come loose again and start spitting oil. I ended up having to replace the whole housing. I hope you have better luck!
