  2. Stock boost on 2G??? (weard afm)

Just curious about what the stock psi is for a 1g. When i bought my car it came w/ the honeycomb removed(if it makes a difference), and it shoots right up to 8psi@about 4000rpm. Just curious if this is about normal, or should it hold a little more, like10-12? Thanks!:D

  8. Grinding Power Steering pump

    hehe, I knew it
  9. Grinding Power Steering pump

Its probably cavitating; this is when bubbles form in the low pressure area and collapse in a higher pressure area of the pump, causing noise (grinding noise) or sometimes when and always damage as well. Was it low on fluid before? What kind of fluid are you using? If you start your car...
  10. 2g ignition coil removal?

Be careful not to strip them, they are small and easy to strip. Moving the rail is a lot easier than you may think.
  11. Will Fuel Injectors from a Supra fit?

I believe that the Supra injectors are side feed; however they are low impedence. Unless you have access to a custom fabricator to make you a rail it may not be worth the hassle since 550's for your 4G are some of the cheapest around...
  12. wally 255?

Use the 1G harness and swap.... Make sure you have some zip ties and the pickup isn't screwed up before you drop it in and you should be just fine.

  14. phantom knock gone!!!

  15. Stock Boost [Merged 5-7]

ive run about 22psi or so (C16)...On a car that is bone stock with pump, you shoudl be cautious of reliability if running more than 16 or so.
  16. engine got the funk

:confused:That can be a lot of other things as well, espeically since it has a blue tint to it. Turbo could be going, rings, valve seals...etcDSM's = low oil pressure, as long as it rises linearly with close to about 10psi per 1k RPM I wouldn't worry about it.
  17. 16G setup question

Yes the stock MASF will be fine, however a 2G maf, translator or w/e u decide will all give good gains, even if its just a lil less boost threshold
  18. turbo specs

Well there is no set amount or power you can make via being prescribed by someone online. However both of those turbos are very capable of putting out 300whp. If you are going to be boosting the 420A then I would stick with the 50trim or 16G option (not .50 btw), it will surely make for a very...
  19. thank u army

Bwahahahah this post is really making me laugh....I was in the Marines and have a lot of mixed feelings about it all (though i was honorably discharged), so I know where both of you are coming from :thumb:

Maybe you should just consider an A4 1.8T quattro then.. I mean they are like $20k less than the S60-R!!Good luck w/e you do! I wish I had that kind of funding, I jsut figured that the kid and wife woudl hold you down a bit. I mean the payment difference evey month between a $~60k car and...
  32. Volvo s60

Well you are about my age... and I know I would never get a new volvo because of a wife and kid. Thats pretty pricey car to be getting into at yoru age with your family and all..regardless of waht kind of job you have (if someone is buying it for you then forget this)...Maybe you shoudl...
  33. Volvo s60

volvo's are great cars... Things I know about the: 1) they have small turbos (similar to VW and their 1.8t's) 2) they are very hard to work on yourself (new ones) as they are making them more and more dealer compliant for maintenance 3) they do not have good resale value (similar to DSM's)...

  37. The Big ROD thread!

not only that but you can definetly pull mid 11's with that trap speed with some good driving (not sayign you can't). That turbo and motor should be close to suitable for your goals. I would just try to make it with that 7 bolt if it were me. Its not lik eyou will be running c16 and driving...

  47. 1G Lightweight Flywheel clutch wear?

This is basically impossible to test in a real world car.Put it this way... If the flywheel and clutch are mated (engaged) then VERY little wear will take place. The flywheel generally doesn't have to much of an effect on clutch (disc) wear, so it will not change anything. This question...
