Allright guys Ive been trying to diagnose my problem here for the last 3 days. I cannot get my car started do to the fuel pump fuse...here is the story:Driving down the road and bam! car is dead. Long part short, the fuel pump is one of the first things I always check, I checked it and saw...
Just curious about what the stock psi is for a 1g. When i bought my car it came w/ the honeycomb removed(if it makes a difference), and it shoots right up to 8psi@about 4000rpm. Just curious if this is about normal, or should it hold a little more, like10-12? Thanks!:D

Its probably cavitating; this is when bubbles form in the low pressure area and collapse in a higher pressure area of the pump, causing noise (grinding noise) or sometimes when and always damage as well. Was it low on fluid before? What kind of fluid are you using? If you start your car...
I believe that the Supra injectors are side feed; however they are low impedence.
Unless you have access to a custom fabricator to make you a rail it may not be worth the hassle since 550's for your 4G are some of the cheapest around...
Wow its good to browse these forums again and see that old problems are starting to be fixed now. I remember dealing with this issue for months trying different things.
Hopefully the whole welding deal works for people; I beleive its for resonance and by shielding it you are basically...
:confused:That can be a lot of other things as well, espeically since it has a blue tint to it. Turbo could be going, rings, valve seals...etcDSM's = low oil pressure, as long as it rises linearly with close to about 10psi per 1k RPM I wouldn't worry about it.
Well there is no set amount or power you can make via being prescribed by someone online. However both of those turbos are very capable of putting out 300whp. If you are going to be boosting the 420A then I would stick with the 50trim or 16G option (not .50 btw), it will surely make for a very...
Bwahahahah this post is really making me laugh....I was in the Marines and have a lot of mixed feelings about it all (though i was honorably discharged), so I know where both of you are coming from :thumb:
Are you thinking of getting one John?I had contemplated it a while ago. The dealer here in Austin was pretty lax about me driving one, especially since the sales on them have died downa lot since they came out...not to mention they had 6 on the lot :oI drive it in just about every...
Wow I cant beleive I found this post... I usualy don't hit the boards much anymore but what do you know. Its funny ot see what you typed so long ago. That turbo now belongs to boostinAWD.Well anyway for those that care... that turbo was outstanding. 11.6@120 :thumb: I had lots of fun...
Same thing happened except for my roommates car was stolen then recovered and dropped off at our house. We took it ALL off and didn't replace it with shit. Not only do they NOT know what they are looking for but they don't even look. If it were me and the very MOST i woudl do is replace only...
Check his gallery for a few.. L2R's piping is VERY nice. I have always been a fan of AGP work. That TB elbow turning into the cold pipe is awesome :thumb:
Maybe you should just consider an A4 1.8T quattro then.. I mean they are like $20k less than the S60-R!!Good luck w/e you do! I wish I had that kind of funding, I jsut figured that the kid and wife woudl hold you down a bit. I mean the payment difference evey month between a $~60k car and...
Well you are about my age... and I know I would never get a new volvo because of a wife and kid. Thats pretty pricey car to be getting into at yoru age with your family and all..regardless of waht kind of job you have (if someone is buying it for you then forget this)...Maybe you shoudl...
volvo's are great cars...
Things I know about the:
1) they have small turbos (similar to VW and their 1.8t's)
2) they are very hard to work on yourself (new ones) as they are making them more and more dealer compliant for maintenance
3) they do not have good resale value (similar to DSM's)...
not only that but you can definetly pull mid 11's with that trap speed with some good driving (not sayign you can't). That turbo and motor should be close to suitable for your goals. I would just try to make it with that 7 bolt if it were me. Its not lik eyou will be running c16 and driving...
1) update your profile so we can better help youTry this... get a nice healthy vacuum line and run it from the wastegate to the intake manifold. This will allow you to see what the wastegate likes to operate at (considering you don't creep to much). After you figure out what the...
Sounds like my old break in settup :DI was doing 13.0's@105 on a bonestock cracked to hell 14b@ 15psi, gotta love compression and a nice cool charge of air. :thumb:
make sure the CAS is installed correctly first... no need to bother grounding yet, get it adjusted so it will idle first THEN ground it and set it to 5* BTDC
:thumb:
I have no experience with the scats at all, but that price and packaeg seems like a good deal for people to start using them. What are your goals?
This is basically impossible to test in a real world car.Put it this way... If the flywheel and clutch are mated (engaged) then VERY little wear will take place. The flywheel generally doesn't have to much of an effect on clutch (disc) wear, so it will not change anything. This question...
