Take EGR off get a small peice of alumnium and some RTV put it between the EGR and the intake then bolt it together that is the proper way to block the EGR. Just unpluggin the lines wont help if EGR is stuck opened to begine with. Possible you have a bent exhaust valve run a compression test and...
White smoke from exhaust indicated coolant coolant is not flammable so it leaves exhaust as steam. You will also be able to smell coolant from the exhaust. Compression test is easiest way to find HG problem. Cheap head gasket or not tightening bolts in order will cause it to fail early.
Best Fix: Go to junkyard and get whole assembly easier to change then fix the pin
Easy Fix: Get a rare earth magent stick it next the filler hose and let the magnet hold it shut ;)

Had the same problem with the OEM filter was the gasket on the filter itself was designed to let go at a certain oil pressure to keep the pump from blowing. Have been using FRAM and Motocraft and never had the issue since.
Check the bottom mount on the alternator. I have seen them on my own and other dsms where the bolt acually vibrated out causing the alternator to go sideways and eating the belt.

Transfer case was more then likely caused by not installing the shaft correctly and breaking the seal. Also when you installed the oil filter did you put the gasket on? I know it sounds stupid but Ive known people that forgot or it fell off while installing it.
Did it work before the AFPR? Also you said its a AWD convert so chances are theres a AWD ECU put into it and they left the old gas tank on so the ECU is looking for a sensor that doesnt exist.
Is the plug in you cas on tight? That relay is the MPI relay possible try swapping with a buddy? Would be weird for it to go by just changing a couple of things unless you left the battery hooked up. Also check fuses under the hood make sure you check the MPI Relay Fuse.
That idle switch they are talkin about is the Throttle Position Switch look around the throttle cable at the body youll see a little tab by the spring that pushes on a sensor,
IAC should move in and out freely if it twitchs its gone. Also while adding power make sure to put your finger on the plunger to add a little resistance it should move freely no "pops" or twitching.
