All parts have less than 100 miles. Spun a rod bearing in motor and have decided to switch platforms for my next project. Save a ton of money on your short block build.4 Wiseco 1400HD E85 Pistons .020 over with 22mm wrist pins. 10.8:1.3 R&R 6 bolt Aluminum Rods with dowel and ARP L19 Rod...
Option 1: FS is a Slowboy Racing Stage 6 ported and polished 1g head that is bare (no valves, cams, valve springs). Original cam bearing caps are included of course. Head has only been trued twice in its lifetime. Intake side is setup for 1mm oversized valves. Exhaust side is standard. Selling...
Selling a super rare, probably the only one you can find, 6 speed 3000 gt vr4 rear differential with 110k miles. Diff works perfectly and is very clean as it came off a garaged car. If you're a dsmer and want to have one of the strongest rear setups for your AUTO dsm, then this is what you...
91-94 Gloss Black powder coated thermostat housing and water neck. Hasn't been used since coated. $80 shipped firm.Text me at 803 707 five five 8 five if interested.
Rear 2g LSD axles in great shape $220 shipped obo. Came off a low mileage 97 Talon with only 67k miles. Axles are setup for cars equipped with ABS but I believe they'll work for non-ABS as well.
It doesn't look too bad IMO. I always pay attention to jack stand damage on the frame rails and pinch welds underneath the car. 2gs are bad from improper jack placement damage. Also, as already mentioned, look closely to the strut towers and wheel wells for rust. Remember surface rust is...
Bottomed out completely or at least that's what I think. Never thought that it could have been the splines as the aftermarket DS yoke needed for the 300m tcase shaft was significantly longer than the oem yoke. When I tried to install the tcase, I could only slip it on the yoke so far and of...
Nice! Let me ask, I had to cut down the yoke that I received from Liberty back a few inches. It would bottom-out in the tcase otherwise. The length in your pics looks very similar to the one I received from Liberty. Will they come the right length? Thanks!
Just remember, the less hot and sticky the tires, the less likely you'll break something in the drive train... So unless you're making gobs of power, let the AWD do its thing...
Use a high speed cutting wheel device of some sort as to not flake the paint. If you're trying to preserve the paint, painters tape can act as a stencil and help keep the paint from chipping and flaking.
Awd will be tough and require an expensive fab bill with only little gain versus just buying an awd dsm that already has a turbo motor. The fwd swap sounds fun and sleeper though.
It's best to find a local welder who is nice with aluminum. Hope on eBay and buy one of those universal 2.5" intercooler kits for $100 or less. If you use your imagination for how you want to route the piping and find the right kit with the right bends, the welding needed may be minimal. When...
I wouldn't say they could do it easily unless they simply made some inserts. It's baffling to me that there's no aftermarket 2g auto awd mounts available... Especially with all the automagic hype.
2gs are horrible for gaining jack damage very easily. Most are way worst than yours. I just picked up a 98 gsx that has only one bend on the passenger frame rail and i feel like i hit the lotto. It all comes from incorrectly jacking the car up. I always thought the most effective way to repair...
Pretty...or shall I say, cute car....but not much potential in its stock platform. I predict the common LS or 2JZ swaps will endup being the choice build for these cars in the future. That is unless the motor shows to have strong internals or strong aftermarket support and they hold up well...
The only differences besides the color options are the STM kit looks to use a smaller/lighter 4 piston caliper design. The rotors are slightly different too.
Bringing this thread back up.....so has anyone had any luck finding a set of the 1gb clear, chrome or black housing headlights? It baffles me that there's all this demand and they can't be found!
IMO, the new Ceramic Precision Billet DBB turbos probably provide the best bang for your buck with proven results to back it up. The updated ceramic center section is supposed to add to the turbo's efficiency and durability. In fact, they're supposed to be 5x more durable than the previous...
It's not supposed to but I'm sure it's made for straight-line racing and where turning isn't a concern. As you can see, you get rid of the two North-South braces and that's where you lose some weight. I have one as well but I have yet to install it.....it's a damn good piece and Paul's biz...
Yup, do a compression test but you will have to setup the timing again which will be time-consuming. With that being said, you have a 99% chance of bent or broken valves so I'd just pull the head and save all the trouble of being disappointed after redoing the timing only to find out the...
