Streaming does zero justice to actually attending.
No, but it does give those who are nowhere near the event or unable to attend an opportunity to watch and cheer on our favorites. Even with the same repetitive ads going over and over during downtime, I loved watching the stream.

That being said, no stream will ever beat being there in person. It's one thing to watch cars go flying down the track, it's another thing entirely to feel it.

Why do they need to have it in the fall/winter months??? I would be MUCH more apt to attend that event if it were during months where you could camp and have a nice weekend.

I use to wait until my favorite YouTube channels posted their coverage. Now me and my buddies make this our annual guys trip. I understand not being able to attend but I wanted to convey that even if a million people stream it the stands would still be jammed packed.

Saturday night during qualifying the da was -1085ft pretty insane cars were wanting to boogie but that also cause the track to go to crap as well.. stands were packed and I even streamed whenever there was an accident just because couldn't see much at end of track from 330ft mark.. I certainly had a great time..

I would like to see it at Norwalk, at least it would be safer because of world class track prep, there has to be major traction issues because of the added power plus the cold slicks and cold track.

During the day traction wasn't much of an issue it was mainly sat night qualifying since the temp dropped and the da dropped fast. From 8 o'clock the da was -35 and by 1030-11 o'clock the da was -1000

The track prep is phenomenal. Every year some record is broken. I’d say blame the setup more so instead of the track. We watched the “White Rice” 2JZ 240 spin violently off the line then later on saw the Teckno Toys SR20 run 6.29 in the finals in that same lane.

I hate the cold but I wore multiple jackets to ensure I enjoyed this amazing event. The 4g's really didn't do too well (really the evo guys). Out of all the awd cars only red demon and the awd coupe civic did good passes that I saw.

First time there and I had a great time. Unfortunately I couldn't stay for eliminations but qualifying was well worth the 5hr drive. Next year I'll be sure to make it for the whole event.

Every time someone says the track has gone to shit when it gets late and cold, some car lines up and dips into the 5s. ;) Track prep is top notch at this race. They've said in years past that they go through 5 drums of traction compound. Anyone that knows something about track prep knows what that means. Cars that are set up right are less sensitive to track prep anyway. As far as I know this event has always been held in November (~20 years). Some years are warmer than others. I've seen 80 degree days, snow at night, and DAs down to -2000 feet. If you can get to this race once, you'll probably make it an annual trip. There's nothing else quite like it.
