Nope. Ever taken a look at the Evo cover then compared it to a DSM valve cover? Not even close.

you can shave our stock valve cover and get it painted to match the evo one that is what im doing.

ok thanks for the help guess i will just have to do what scott was say and just shave the stock one down and make it look like the evo 8 cover. thanks all :thumb:

but now theres a new ? if you can use a n/t valve cover from the rs, then why cant you use the evo8 cover, cause the rs is backwards as well?

It does fit, I tried last night for the hell of it and if you rotate it 180 it fits, but the oil cap is on the lower and etc.
Not sure if the baffles matter, but I'm sure pretty sure it plays an important roll.

No they don't, I tried this with a Hyundai cover (4g69?).
You can see the bolt castings on the lower lip of the cylinder head and they're off by mm on all but one or two iirc.
Could always just do the cylinder head swap a-la @JayRome and be all badass/bass-ackwards :D

You might be able to tap new holes, but I don't think there's enough material...

Bolt holes wouldn't be so much of a problem for me but I didn't even look, it was late and an idea popped in my head an slapped it on. Ill look more into it and see if I can get this to work if not eh still fun. What I'm more concerned about are the baffles on the underside and how that'll have a good/bad effect.

I'd be more concerned with clearing the hood. Just buy a dsm cover

Baffling shouldn't be an issue, the engines still rotate clockwise, no different than it being on an Evo.

I agree that it probably won't clear the hood. By all means, tinker on tho!

The 1G and 2G hoods have the "happy to see you" bump to clear the cams. In the pic of the Evo valve cover sitting on the 2G head you can see the valve cover top is a little higher than the cams.....DEFINITELY would not fit unfortunately.....even if you were able to get the holes to line up it just won't work. Or you could always do the late 90's Honda guy thing and just take the hood off! Hahaha!
